Worked as advertized even in a PCIe 1.0a slot just at 150MB
I knew that I would not get the full 500MBps since I was putting it in a PCIe 1.0a slot which is only 2.5gbits rather than the 5gbits a PCIe 2.0 slot has. What I do get is a max of 125MB per pair of USB3 ports. So I can have 2 ports (1 from each bank) doing a max of 125MB each because it is splitting the 250MB max of PCIe 1.0a in half. I can have drives pluged into all 4 ports at once but if both drives on a pair of USB3 port are being used it slows down to max of 62MB max each. I am just happy it work in such an old PCIe slot.

Restart PC after installing software drivers
For anyone who notices that the card is not being recognized by your computer, please install the software drivers off the included CD, and then restart your computer. I purchased this for an older Dell XPS 8300, and thus far things have been great. If all goes well for the next few months, I'll buy another to take up the other available PCIe slot on the motherboard.

Not That Easy
Product was a dud out of the box. Card was not recognized by system (Windows 7 64 bit), even though powered and different expansion slots tried. SIIG technical support was not much help. Kudos to B&H for their easy return system. I will be trying someone elses expansion card.

SO SO
I needed to add more ports for my desktop. The ports showed up immediately once I loaded the drivers. But I keep getting a message that says my drive can work faster if I use different ports. Not sure why that is, because these are the fastest ports I have in my PC.
