SSD's are the wave of the future. They're getting cheaper and bigger. No one will disagree that they're fast and awesome, esp. Samsung SSD's. The hard part is trying to get them working on your computer. You may be running to Geek Quad before you know it. I've bought 3 and every one was a pain to install. But they're all working now. Search on the internet for install info. Use the recovery disks rather than clone the HD, if possible.

Simply WOW!
My 2 year old hard drive crash suddenly recently. Fortunately my data files were backed up but it was and is a monster pain to get the PC reconfigured. Don't want to go thru that again. Also, the previous HD was noisy. In comes the SamSung SSD. This thing is FAST. I handle some accounting on this PC and there is constant feedback interaction with the drive but everything us virtually instantaneous.

Worked great, better than any other SSD
Received the drive, unpacked it, installed the software, cloned the drive, rebooted the laptop with the new drive and been working like a champ ever since. I have used Kingston, Visiontek and Samsung by far is the easiest and most reliable so far. The only thing that would make this better was if they included a bracket or something to fill in the extra dead space since this drive is so thin.

Work with my mid 2009 MBP
After much struggle I got this SSD to work internally. I had to use a SATA enclosure first before installing, but far worse than this my MBP's SATA cable needed replacement as well. Once that was done, this worked flawlessly. I don't fault Samsung for not having tools that make it easy to upgrade the firmware on OSX. That is purely Apple's fault since they tightly control their platform.

so far so good
only been using it a month, but working good so far. replaced the original 1TB sata drive in my 24 imac with this drive. I know my mac only supports sata II, so I'm not gonna get the sata III speeds, but its way faster than my older drive. applications load much quicker. took a little time to install in the imac, not something beginner should attempt.

It's great
Major shortening of boot-up time and app-launch time. I haven't yet done much processor-intensive stuff, such as video editing, but I expect that to be faster as well. Installing it in my MacBook Pro was a cinch. Just need the right tools, and iFixit will tell you what those are and how to use them. I'm so happy to have a drive without moving parts.

excellent SSD
I used this in a bran new Lenovo y510p. Cloned the HDD that came in the laptop using the included Samsung software. I needed a USB to SATA enclosure or adapter which wasn't included but i already had. Laptop is working 10 times faster. No issues yet. Not sure about the longevity since i've only recently changed it out so giving 4 stars for now.

Good Upgrade
I purchased to give my already good performing computer a boost and this SSD did. Things that are great is only one single thing I can think of and that is an increase in drive performance that over a mechanical hard drive. Things that are not so great is that while not a deal breaker there are some bugs that Samsung has not yet resolved.

Reliable and Fast
I purchased this drive for the Fine Art Student in our family. She had exhausted the space on a 240GB and needed more for an upcoming video course. I copied the existing drive to the new drive, installed it, and everything worked without issue. This is the fourth Samsung SSD I have used, and so far all have performed well.

Great SSD
I use this Samsung 500GB EVO SSD as my C drive in my desktop. I had a Samsung 256 GB 840 Pro SSD but was running out of room so I cloned it to this new one via a Dyconn Dubbler disk duplicator. The process took about 30 minutes or so and the new drive is as fast if not faster then my 256 GB drive. No muss, no fuss.

Get this if you need speed
boot and load times slashed coming from conventional spindle HDD. It's samsung so should have a long prosperous life, haven't had it long enough to say so yet. Installs just like any other 2.5 HDD. Format, and put OS on it, and love it. Even for power users, programs will load faster than you can move the mouse.

Fast+Reliable, what more could you want?
I use this drive for my Lightroom catalog so all the previews and pictures load near instantaneous. No more waiting around when I scroll through my photos.Overall, I have had great experiences with Samsung SSD drives. I also own the 840 Pro and 830, both running great even after a few years.

Nice Upgrade

Installed on my late 2011 13 Macbook Pro and it unlocked its true potential! Everything is faster from booting to opening programs that usually take time to load e.g. MATLAB, Word, Photoshop.. Easy to install, superfast, overall really good product would recommend.

Amazing SSD
This thing flies. After installing it as my boot drive for my new PC system build, everything loads so quickly. It is highly recommended over a standard traditional Hard Drive. I don't have any issues at all, no blue screen of death problems, works beautifully :)

Lightning fast
Installed this little 500GB SDD with ease into a Lenovo G410. I've only used the drive for about 24 hours, but so far it's crankin' away at lightning speed compared to the previous HDD. B&H delivered on time and professionally. No complaints, only compliments.

Wanted an SSD drive for faster speed on my older (2008) computer. Works with my SATA2 plug. Not as fast as SATA3, but still much faster. Great upgrade. Be sure to by extra SATA cable and converter bracket for 2.5 to 3.5 drive. This thing is tiny!

What's to say, despite the way the bosses their treat their workers, and the danger of the crazies to the north the Koreans make good SSDs, and using this one as a scratch disk greatly speeds my editing. It came with a copy/clone utility too.

WOWZAH!!!
I bought this to replace the main drive in my computer. I put the O/S and Programs on it. I cannot stress enough how much faster this is than my old HDD. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to boost there system to hyper speed!

Samsung- still going strong
Using this in a film composers studio. Hard to say with this stuff until enough time has passed but so far so good. Have not had nay real issues with Samsung SSDs so I am not expecting this one to be any different than the others.

Quick boot times for older machine
I replaced my existing drive with this SSD unit on a Windows 7 machine that was a few years old and it now boots up much faster. My PC is also a bit more quiet now that I don't have noise from the old hard drive spinning up.

The SSD to use in a Mac
If you're looking to upgrade the old HD to an SSD in a Mac, this is the manufacturer and SSD you want. Caveats: get Trim Enabler and SSD Fan Control. Need more? 23 seconds to boot a 2009 MacBook Pro. Awesome.
