Like Having a New Computer...
What a difference this new drive made! SSD was installed effortlessly in my 5 year old MacBook Pro with no problems. Boot time went from minutes to 13 SECONDS! I run Parallels and often switch back and forth between Mac OS and Windows 7. This drive makes the Mac-to-Windows transition lightning fast. One of the best-bang-for-the-bucks upgrades EVER. The only regret I have is not installing this drive sooner!

Top notch drive
I have used many of these Samsung EVO drives and they have always worked well. I always see a significant improvement in the performance of the computer when upgrading to one of these. I also appreciate the software Samsung has for cloning the old drive to the new one. The cloning software only failed me once when the original drive had a problem. The cloning process is fairly quick and very easy to use.

Pros: - Plenty of space to store a vast game library. - Fast game load times. - Easier cable management than multiple SSDs. - 500 MB/s reads and writes without Samsung Magician. - 4,000 MB/s reads and writes with Samsung Magician. - Overprovisioning in Samsung Magician helps with longevity. Cons: - Expensive - 40GB is not usable due to the overprovisioning in Samsung Magician.

Good HD; fast and easy install; almost 2 months to ship
I really like the hard drive and the price is one of, if not the best around, but due to the limited quantities, took almost two months to ship after I placed my order. I replaced a smaller 128GB internal laptop hard drive and this one works great. I used windows imaging software to transfer files over and have been using a week with no issues. Start up time from button on to use is about 5 seconds!

Fast, Compact and Bulletproof
I purchased two Samsung 860 1 TB SSDs as a second drives for an Atomos Ninja Inferno video monitor/recorder. It is on the approved list by Atomos, fast enough for 4,2,2 4K/60p video. I intend to purchase two or more of these SSDs for image backup while traveling. They can be used, externally, with a SATA-USB cable adapter, or in a USB enclosure. My benchmark with a 2017 MacBookPro is over 430 MB/s.

Super fast and reliable
I have 2 laptops with 1TB Samsung EVO SSDs so when the hard drive failed in my iMac I wanted one of these drives 2TB to replace it. I researched it and big difference I found between the 850 EVO and the newer 860 EVO is the number of write cycle they are rated for. The 860 EVO should last at least twice as long as the older model which I have been using for years. They are super fast and reliable.

Upgrade to an SSD
When I build my current computer two years ago, I could not afford to get an SSD as my boot drive. But now SSD drives have come down in price and I was able to make the switch. Purchasing the Samsung was the best choice as their data migration software made the change flawlessly. Now my computer boots up and my programs open 3-4x faster from the standard platter drive. I use that for my data now.

Samsung EVO SSDs
This is the second Samsung EVO SSD that I've purchased. These drives are outstanding. 1 installed in a windows pc and 1 installed in an iMac. Both machines saw significant improvement in boot times, application access, and ability to sustain dozens of webpage tabs without system degradation. Neither machine had any issues accepting the drive. Excellent value for the performance!

Excellent choice for system disk
This drive replaced a Samsung 850 pro 500 that I have used for my Windows 10 System drive for a couple of years. Drive was still working well but was about 80% full and I needed a larger drive. This 860 EVO cloned very well and is now my workhorse for a system drive. Love it and it solved my space problem and should serve me for a long time. Thanks B&H for fast service and great product.

Used for Steam Library
Replaced Seagate Hybrid HD for enhanced game loading and response (Assetto Corsa, Competizione, Project Cars/2, Rfactor/2 and Dirt Ralley). Significantly faster (almost 3x) initial load and shorter wait times for (3x-4x)individual level/car/track loads. Worth the price of $168 (no tax / free shipping) at the time. Older Asrock Z77, I7-3770k & GTX980TI system which does not support nvme.

Samsung 250GB 860 EVO SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD from B & H
This is the second unit I have installed. The first impressed me so much over the past year that I decided to use another unit on a second PC. Its performs so much faster than the original HDD and seems to have been 100% over time. Even though I live in Aotearoa/New Zealand half a world away from NY their service and shipping time has once again proved very competitive and worthwhile.

Surprisingly Fast SSD
I upgraded from a Crucial 250GB SSD to this 500GB Samsung SSD. I immediately noticed that this SSD was faster when opening programs and accessing files on my Windows 7, Intel i5 computer. I used Macrium Reflect to Clone the drive since I had it on my PC. Did not use the Samsung Magician software they suggest. B&H pricing was competitive and I love the 3-day free shipping to my home.

turned my old lap top into a rocket!
Samsung Migration app that comes with ssd worked really good. (Sata cable is needed B&H has good ones cheap) The boot speed and functions increased by at least 4 times faster. Only having 4gb ram, decided to add 8gb more and now Windows 10 works much better. For less than $200 (ssd, sata cable, and 8gb ram) I have made my older (2013) laptop run like a newer machine....Awesome!

Windows 10 now even faster
The drive is fast. Now for data cloning lessons learned. First, download the Samsung Data Migration software. It's the only cloning software that I finally got to work. Also temporarily turn off antivirus software while cloning. Expect the process to take many hours. In the end, you will be rewarded with faster PC performance, and a very reliable solid state drive.

Working perfectly, no troubles, great price.
As Samsung SSDs are considered the best, this is no exception. Had no troubles cloning a drive to this and then using this as the source/boot drive. I use free Aomei Backupper for cloning, straightforward and booted without adjustments. Be advised no cables nor software is provided, just a bare drive. You can not go wrong with this purchase as well as this seller.

A worth while upgrade
I recently upgraded my OS drive on my 8 year old PC using the Samsung EVO 860 1 TB drives. What a difference! The machine used to take two plus minutes to boot up. After the upgrade, I'm logging in in 15 seconds form a cold start. Not only does the machine boot up faster, alll the applications run faster. THis made a huge improvement in Capture One and Photoshop.

Love this SSD
It was very to easy to use. I used Minitool Partition Wizard to move my OS and Programs over to this SSD from the original HDD . After installing the SSD in my HP AIO computer , the computer booted up like in 5 seconds . So much faster than the HDD . CrystalDiskMark Bench marks are where they should be for a SATA 3 SSD. Happy with purchase. Price was also great.

Easy upgrade to hp envy 17 nr
I had to buy an m.2 enclosure to plug it into usb port. I cloned the.5 tb existing drive to the new drive using macrium. Then I swapped the drives. Still had to rearrange the drive positions using macrium, as the used c:\ drive was still 0.5 tb and the rest was unallocated. These 2 sections have to be adjacent. Then the c:\ drive can be expanded to fill 2 tb.

Upgraded to 500GB from 256GB
I was hoping to keep the programs on the SSD to a minimum and use HDD for data storage. However, there are too many programs that do not allow you to select a drive when loading, and when you contact them, they dont care..Yea Garmin you are one. Anyway Samsung Data Migration works well, copy and replace, I put the 256GB drive into a laptop with a slow HDD.

C-drive replacement
Hoping to replace the heart of my 3year-old desktop computer and extend its life, I bought this SSD and crossed my fingers. While the migration process ought to be more clearly explained, once done and installed, I'm pleased and satisfied beyond expectation. The only mistake I feel I made is in not buying the 4TB version of this magnificent product...yet.

Just as you would expect - great product, great price
Purchased this to improve the performance of an older laptop. Used EaseUS Todo Backup tool to clone old drive to SSD. Worked easily and perfectly. Once clone was complete, swapped drives and good to go! Samsung is a great product and bhphotovideo had the best price. I have purchased other items before from bhphotovideo, and i have always been satisfied.

Straightforward add-on for Macbook Pro
My 2011 Macbook Pro was starting to feel very slow and the thought of upgrading from El Capitan 10.11 to High Sierra 10.13 pushed me to replace my internal hard drive. The installation and set up were easy and the performance is superb. Boot times now take half a minute instead of waiting for several minutes. Very pleased with the 860 EVO.

2TB 860 EVO M.2
This is clearly the best 2TB SATA M.2 drive as of April 2018. I'm using it in a 13.3" laptop (Kaby Lake R) as bulk storage for RAW files, hence the need for 2TB. Note that the TurboWrite (SLC) buffer sizes of the 860 EVO vary by capacity and the 2TB has the largest at 78GB. However, even after that region the 2TB writes at over 500 MB/sec.

Should serve the Photographer I built this for well.
This will be used as a second SSD (OS on a 1TB 97o EVO plus) for working files and caches along with 2- 8TB storage disks on power switches. CPU is an Intell i9-9900K and the review reads: This was put in a Gigabyte z390 Designare MB as a build for photo and video editing. It went well and burn in and benchmarks all passed with flying colors!
