Meet Expectation
Must be my own aging ears' problem. I couldn't tell too much difference between this and my $26 Sennheiser HD202. Before purchasing this I suspect the HD202 bass emphasized. After comparison, this one doesn't add too much details on low frenquency to me.

10/10
My main tracking and editing headphones! Theres a reason these are studio standard, Id give it 10 stars if that were an option. Super detailed in the upper frequencys to help you hear everything while maintaining a controlled mid range and a full low end

Mmm! Tasty!
I have a small 24-track Studio... two mdr-v6 and two 7506 Sony's...I like the V6 more ...the drummer and the bass player are using the 7506s...I love the sound the pads are replaceable when they wear out the Springs are a little tight I have a big head but I can either tweak that a little or wait till it stretches out a little...now my Trio can work with a guest! and we All get decent sound when we're recording with headphones...

Excellent Choice
Nothing but good things to say. The issue I hear some reviewers bring up is the coiled cord. This has not been an issue for me since the cord is thin and light and in no way interferes with my movements around my workstation.

Solid
I just finished composition and sound design work for a piece at MIT. Surprise, MIT has a theater department!I used these headphones to compose music while sitting in rehearsals. There was confusion because these headphones are the standard headphones of MIT's theater techs also. Great value for the money.

Nice workhorse headphones
I use these mainly for monitoring sound during video recording. They work great for me in that regard, sounding fine in almost every situation. For music recording I do prefer a different set of phones, but at this price it's hard to find a better workhorse than this.

Flaky pleather and dumbo ears
I have sticky-outy ears (notably sothey are hereditary and my grandpa and his brothers had theirs stitched to the sides of their heads at a young age to make them look more normal), so all over-ear headphones crush my cartilage causing pain during extended use. While the cups on these phones are plenty big enough to fit around my ears, they are not deep enough to avoid crushing them, so I plan to find or make (maybe 3D print?) some cup extenders.... Comfortable
Was recommended these by a friend and I have no regrets. Very comfortable compared to my old sennheiser headphones that were in the same price bracket. Would by again.

Perfect sound!
Exactly what I wanted. Superb quality and sound. The only thing I would prefer is a detachable cable as I find the coiled cable a little heavy and bulky. But that is no big deal considering the sound quality coming out of these headphones!

Blown away by the sound quality
Forget equalizers, forget loud volume...The quality of these cans is such they place you at the center of whatever music you are listening. I hear now instruments I didnt hear before, in songs Ive heard hundreds of times already. The fidelity is such you will find yourself the intention of sound engineers who recorded each piece...At the end of the day, that is what we all listen. I am so happy that I ordered the twin brother of this marvel: The MDR-7206. Ive loved Sony electronics for 40 years already and they have neverlet me down. Thanksbhphotovideo.com for a quick delivery.

Awesome
I have been looking for really good headphones for some time. I checked out a number of reviews of various makes, models, and price lines. The review that jumped out at me again and again was the Sony MDR V6. I settled on the Sony and ordered them through B & H Photo. The entire process was fantastic, for certain one if the best online shopping experiences I have had- yes including amazon. BTW Amazon was quite a bit more expensive than B& H Photo... Show More

Good for around the house
These headphones take awhile to break in, but once broken in they sound fantastic. The cord is long and heavy so I wouldn't use this for on the go listening.

Light, sturdy and sound great
I have a podcast and bought these as an extra pair for guests and to leave with the rest of the gear. They sound great, they fold up and are easy to transport, and you can't do much better for the price.

Great Headphones for the cost!!
I already have one pair of these fantastic headphones from about 2007 or so. I didn't really need a second pair, but I got them anyway as a "just in case" measure. Though they aren't rated as "Hi-Res" I would rate them that way because they have a range of5 Hz to 30 kHz. Well beyond what human hearing can hear (20 Hz to 20 kHz). They have accurate sound and nice bass and treble characteristics. They do not lack for anything. The cushy cups are ni... Show More

My 2nd pair, absolutely loves it!
This is our second pair of these V6 headphones for our Church. The first pair eventually gave out after 8 years of delivering awesome sound for us to mix our audio... Was going to buy another brand to replace the trusty V6, but all the review shows better sounding headphones would cost considerably more... so we decided to just stick to what we know that works well!

Works for Me!!!
Work great - the coiled cord is not so heavy that it would pull your head to the floor. Sound is flat and clear. Used for listening to music to write choreography (ballet) to. All the nuance's of the music can be heard. At the price do not need to treat them with kit gloves can be hauled everywhere and when there is a moment pulled out and uses and thrown back into the bag till another opportunity presents itself.

Great sound
They sound wonderful, especially for Classical Music. The coiled cord isn't as annoying as I though it would be. After listening for an hour or so, the ear pads make the area around my ears a little sweaty. This is a minor nuisance for great sound. Otherwise they are very comfortable.

This is my 2nd pair, still using the 1st! That says it all.
These are pretty much the standard in studio monitor headphones. If you want to make sure your audio is good, you need clean, uncolored headphones so you know what you are hearing is spot on.

Great range and clarity!
This is the first pair of studio headphones I've ever used, and the audio range and clarity is much better than anything else I've ever listened to. They are comfortable to wear, have a generous cord length, and seem to be of high quality. I will never spend $200 for a pair of Bose headphones, or any brand that expensive, so I can't compare the sound quality to something like that, but I am very impressed nonetheless.

Sony corded headphones
I liked the construction and comfort of this product. The flat responses for music works for me. The only thing, I wish the cord was detachable so I could switch to a shorter cord sometimes.

Nice Frequency Range Headphone
Overall it is a good headphone. But it may not be suitable for long hours of listening if you have a big head like me :)

Clean and beautiful sound!
I am very much an amateur in the sound business. I'm using a D750 and a TASCAM DR-60DMkII to capture my granddaughter playing her guitar. I use these to monitor the sound coming into a recorder and/or a camera. The clarity of the sound from these headphones is amazing to me. They seem to reproduce the sound without any bias what-so-ever.

Awesome for the price
Sound is clear and I can hear instruments and nuances in my music. The cable feels heavy but I guess they are made for the studio or for djing.

Classic
Portable headphones fold up nicely to put in my video camera bag. There durable, provide neutral sound for monitoring no extra bass, provide good isolation, and are comfortable. Only two negatives: 1. I don't like the coiled cord. There is too many coils making it heavy pulling on the head phones and prone to get hung up. I understand its so it can stretch but for field work it becomes a nuisance. I'd prefer an interchangeable system so I could u... Show More
