Bose Solo 5 TV sound system
Could be much better
Purchased this after reading good reviews on here, very disappointed with the sound quality. Its better than the built in speakers on modern flat screen TVs but thats about all. If your wanting Cinema style sound go look elsewhere .

What a disappointment
We have had a larger Bose soundbar for several years, so bought this one as a replacement in a new house. The sound quality was such a terrible disappointment. No deep bass as usual, and worst of all it made the voices sound terrible during commentary. No depth to the sound whatsoever. Suffice to say it went straight back. This is not the usual Bose quality, I should have listened to the negative reviews. You needn't be any sort of audio export to realise this is not a good speaker.

Perfect Dound
Stunning sound, makes a big difference compared to my old surround sound by Sony, Would like it if it could pair up with other bose speakers.

My Bose sound system is amazing
This nose speaker has the most amazing sound ....made my old one sound like rubbish....it's small and neat but sounds like I'm in a cinema when I watch a movie....easy to control with good strong remote control....superior to any other speaker I've ever owned. Can't recommend it enough and the price is amazing for a bose

Brilliant
Looked at at many sound bars online before I decided to purchase this one and I have no regrets. It has improved the sound of our flat-screen TV immeasurably. The soundbar comes complete with an optical cable which I put to use when connecting it to the TV, all I had to do was mute the sound from the TV's internal output, connect output cable and power lead and that was it. I can see why Bose have such a good reputation.

Great sound bar excellent quality
Must be a popular sound bar as tried to purchase this at another store who were selling it at a cheaper price but totally sold out so bought from Argos. Very pleased with this. I have other bose items so knew the quality would be excellent which went a long way towards making the choice to buy Bose again

Good but not great
Purchased this bose solo 5 soundbar to replace my old bose companion set Bit diapointed works ok, but not very loud and not many functions for the suze of remote, save your money, you are paying for the name only !

Bose Quality Sound
This produces the usual quality Bose sound. Slight niggle is that, shortly after the start of a film, it will lapse into silence for a several seconds. (Some sort of buffering effect?). Once it settles down it’s fine for the rest of the programme.

Small package with big sound!
Bought many home cinema speakers and this Solo 5 has to be my best purchase yet. Clear crisp sound with just enough bass when you need it. Only falls short in the 3D sound field. My separates still sound better when I watch a movie like Iron Man. Wish it came with surround sound speakers. That would be the ideal setup. Otherwise great for enhancing the sound of your TV. Its better for playing music and TV shows with just talking.

Easy to set up Sound bar
Bought to replace our old Solo which gave up the ghost ghost after about 10 years. Easy to set up and the remote can be used as a universal one for your tv/satellite/blue ray player too.

Dissapointing hardly switch it on
For music, much better than the TV and for action movies quite fun. However for anything else which has music in the background which is every documentary, advert and drama there is an annoying little thump of base which is there all the time no matter how far down you turn the bass. All in all a very unsubtle bit of technology and I guess I should have expected little more from a Bose at such a low price. It's going on eBay shortly.

Best sound
Had a 5.1 sound system, couple of the speaker s stopped working so decided to look for a new system. Decided on a Bose as the sound in a large electrical store was brilliant and I do love my Bose earphones and Bluetooth speaker too. Excellent buy would recommend Bose.

Returned to store
Set the sound bar up with no problems. Sound was distorted on all the HD channels. Could not figure out why or correct it, so returned to store & chose a different sound bar.

Sooooopa sound
Purchased to go with new Samsung tv, sound is excellent, setup easy all done in a couple of minutes from taking out of the box. Looks good, very unobtrusive. Excellent purchase. Also excellent service from staff at Banbury store.

Bose Solo 5 Tv System
My reservation about this unit is that the volume is restricted to too low a level. I realise that if it became too loud it might become distorted. Nevertheless the maximum volume level is inadequate. We have checked the TV - a Sony Bravia - and the volume does not seem to be limited. If there is an obvious solution to this problem I will happily modify this review. I have no criticism of the quality of the sound produced. I should also say that the clarity of speech is good.

Amazing
Amazing sound quality and easy set up . Had problems setting up my blu ray player code on the universal remote control however custom service, on the phone were fantastic and I was up and running in no time . Easy to connect to laptop and ipad for streaming music on the Bluetooth feature. This is perfect for a small room or bedroom and there are no wires all over the place ,dialogue on tv programmes is amazing and when the commercials come on WOW !

BOSE What else can you say
Sound is amazing i had another soundbar from another brand and wow it blow that away aswell. The only thing that i was unhappy with you have to buy the wall bracket Separate. Also it would be better with a display on the front telling us info but its OK without it.

Disappointed with output, no comparison to LG 2.1+
After a battle due to the product on sale via the catalogue in store to the price on the till. Receiving No satisfaction in store I contacted customer services who could see they were wrong, allowed me to purchase at catalouge price.
