Great substitution for amp-less stage
I bought this because of its amp modeling function. I'm playing live on stage, but most of the time, there's no complete stack / rig on the stage for guitarist. I have to plug my sound into the PA system directly and monitoring my sound through AVIOM headphone system or an amp. Problematic
The output levels vary wildly depending on selecting tweed or the other 2 amp settings, and with the box on or off, making it very difficult to switch back and forth. Also, the 2 non-tweed settings provide distortion even on the lowest drive setting, so a clean sound is not attainable. I tested using the XLR output to a Mackie ProFX12 mixer and Mackie SRM450v2 active speaker using a Gibson 335s with Dirty Fingers pick-ups.

Great amp modeler for the price
I just bought this thing to try, but when i started using it i was amazed. I was looking for a direct box for my recordings and i found this thing. I run my guitar through it to record, both acoustic and electric. for electric guitar i use the amp modeling and then i use Guitar Rig 2 for cabinets. and trust me it gave me awesum results. @

I would buy this product again and again
I bought this product for use in home recording for my demo. The product works right out of the box is easy to use. Pretty good sound easy to set up which is consistent with home recording. Great product for the money. Thank Beringer and store B & H Put five-stars all in accordance.

Left that heavy amp at home!
I carry this modler and di with my multi effects to most gigs and patch into the board. now I am the fastest guitar to set up no fuss no messy cables runs no heavy equipment. Oh I am also the fist to finnish packing up at the end of a long night. KISS

So much fun
As many other reviewers have pointed-out, the tone of these amp modelers is amazing. Build quality is of course fairly cheap so you have to be careful, but such a great value.

Good Bang for the buck
I use this to give my solid state amp that slightly gritty fender tube amp tone. The tweed setting is pretty good for this. Can make my strat sound quite like a tele at times.
