Webcam and Speakers Do Not Work With Laptops
I am returning this display right away due to random switching of audio, video and mic between the display, my laptop or just stopping. Our computer support people discovered this display is designed to work with desktop computers that do not have their own webcam or speakers, and it is known that the display does not integrate properly with computers that have them. Secondary issue that the sound is not that great.

Largest Monitor with integrated camera I could find
I bought 9 of these monitors for my office because they were one of only two 27-Inch monitors with an integraded camera. (the other was the Acer 272HUL which costs three tiems as much) This monitor also has integraded speakers. Perfect monitor for in the booth
Love this low-heat LED monitor - for the price it cannot be beat, with a built-in cam to boot. Connected to my Mac Mini and UA Apollo Twin interface from behind the booth wall, this gives me a great big screen to use in the booth during recording and editing. For the price, the functionality and quality cannot be beat. Highly recommend if this fits your situation. Ordered Thursday, standard shipping (free!) and arrived Friday!

Beware
Beware of this monitor and beware of Asus. I bought my VK278Q in October 2011; here it is May 2012 and it's never worked right. Maddeningly, HDMI and DisplayPort video and sound blink off and on at random. I tried to be patient but I can't put up with it anymore. Asus customer service was worthless; trying to return it to Asus for repair or replacement was a nightmare. I had to buy a replacement monitor from a reputable manufacturer, so I wasted over $on an Asus monitor that's useless. I'm sorry I couldn't rate it less than one star; zero would've been too high.

Not for professional use
I am a professional video and photo editor. The specs on this monitor looked decent, so I took a gamble. It would be a good (not great) monitor for nonprofessionals. I calibrated and still could not manage a decent color. The whites are not pure and the blacks crush. The viewing angle is adjustable and they do include a wire for hooking it up to both a PC and Mac (I used a Mac Pro). It was a very light monitor. Oh, and sharpness was not great. You get what you pay for.

Just Amazing
I brought it from The USA because I couldn't find any other at least similar in South America, and the risk wasn't worthless, it works amazing with my MacBook Air...

Very good value!
Using this with a Macbook Pro, with DVI output. Excellent resolution for text documents, much better than the previous 24 monitor. The price is significantly less than an Apple monitor, something I can't afford. At this size I am able to get nearly three pages of text on the screen, which is awfully convenient. The only wish would be to broaden the base and allow the screen to rise off the base another 2 inches. Tis would produce a much better viewing height and allow me to not use a 2 inch thick book as a base.
