Sony X900F Series 49 Class HDR UHD Smart LED TV

The best TV for most people
I did a lot of research on TVs before buying the X900F. I feel like a TV expert now haha. Bottom line is the picture on the Sony X900F is great. I preferred this TV over an OLED TV because I didnt feel like dealing with potential burn-in. The X900F picture quality is probably as close as youre going to get to OLED without spending a lot more, and with this TV you wont have to worry about burn-in. Sony 900F: Superlative Quality
The Sony 900F is even better than anticipated with picture quality. 10/10 with picture quality which was what I was looking for. Most helpful review was from Rratings to compare Sonys and other brand. Their review was 8.3 for the 900F. The 900F does not have eARC, just ARC for Atmos surround sound sound. The go around for this is Apple TV 4K. They rated the Sony 950G with eARC at only 8.4 and I didnt feel the upgrade was worth the price. Another ... Show More

Beautiful Picture with Blooming Issues
Coming from a 2012 Panasonic 50GTG50 Plasma, this TV has excellent picture quality. HDR content looks amazing, as do Sling TV, Xbox One S games. I am using the built-in Netflix and Sling apps. Both work great, the interface is snappy enough - MUCH faster than using the Xbox One S. Motion is also handled wonderfully. The soap opera effect is very minimal. The smoothing feature works great and there is no jittering. It does have some blooming issue... Show More

What a great experience, astonishing picture quality.
What a great TV. Thanks for fast delivery, B&H. The only thing that is not outstanding on this device is the actualstand. I get it, it is designed to fit the Sony soundbar underneath it. Still, beautiful design is different. But this is not enough to reduce a star in this rating, especially as probably 50% will mount it on a sealing anyways. The 75" is huge, but I am glad I`ve chosen this one. The qualityis just so great and Android as the base O... Show More

Upgraded from 1080p 55 Plasma, loving it...
Ive been using my Samsung 55 1080p Plasma for many years now, I decided to upgrade after getting a new Bluetooth soundbar for Christmas. I did a search for 65 TVs with Bluetooth and the Sony X900F kept coming up in the top results. I must say that Im extremely impressed with the picture quality, it is way better than my old Plasma, it even makes older Sitcoms on Netflix look better (i.e. Frasier, Seinfeld, etc...) Fantastic 49 Inch 4K
If you need any settings for this TV, you can always visit my Youtube channel for it. SegaSaturnSNK, just put that on search along with x900f and you should find the video with ease. Overall, this TV isn't a huge improvement over the 900E, it's slightly better but still, a great TV nonetheless. The blacks are deep, contrast and clarity is fantastic, and the colors are vibrant. Playing God of War on this is phenomenal. Movies and gaming are great... Show More

Amazing Smart TV
First of all, I love all things Sony so this TV was a long time coming. My last HDTV was a LG 55 3D model that was nice but the 3D feature was really just a gimmick. I prefer a nice clear and sharp screen and this TV has got it. After some tweaking to the visuals the screen comes alive. The extra features like the apps are a nice as well. It's easy to hit the app button and start up Netflix or Disney+ very quickly. The Android OS is fast enough t... Show More

Got the 65-inch for $899 - What a deal!
I ordered two of these TV's during the recent post Christmas sale. I ordered on 12/26 and got the 65-inch version of this TV for just $899 each including free shipping and no sales tax (laws changed Jan 1, so I'd probably have to pay sales tax now. Overall, I'm really happy with the TV. It's top rated on Rtings.com as well as Wirecutter and other well respected review sites. The picture quality is top notch. I actually prefer this model over the ... Show More

Terrible side angle viewing. No analog input or card slot.
In general picture quality is great but only when viewing smack straight in front of the TV. The side viewing angle quality is very bad. A large screen TV would obviously be in a large room so people would view the tv from various positions/angles but unfortunately the picture quality looks bad at even the slightest angles. Further, it has no standard (rca) analog inputs, you need a special sony cable for that. So if you have older equipment by any chance this might be something to keep in mind. No SD card or memory card slot, so you need a device (camera) to view the contents of the card.

using it as a monitor
Some of the reviews I read rated this monitor well for monitor use and also gave it good ratings for contrast ratios (HDR) so I thought I'd give it a shot as a monitor. My Nvidia GTX 1650 GPU outputs 4K HDR 29 Hz 12 bit color by default to this screen. You have to go into your GPU adapter settings in Win 10, but you can increase it to 60 Hz but that reduces color output to 8-bit by dithering. Still deciding which one I prefer. Make sure you go to Home, Settings, External Inputs (on your remote) to upgrade to Enhanced 4K HDMI signal and only connect to the HDMI 2 or 3 ports.

Great TV - could be cheaper/faster
The image quality is fantastic! Im not a connoisseur enough to know whether this SONY is worth the extra cost compared to other brands/models. The TV was definitely easy to setup (WiFi, Netflix, Google Assistant...), and Im enjoying all the functionality built-in. Its obviously a bit pricey compared to other brands, and I suspect the SONY name alone bumps up the price. My only complaint in using it is that the navigation between apps is slow, and using Google Assistant is super slow.

Great TV
Have this TV as replacement for formerly received damaged one during shipping. Setup was uneventfull. This is SONY and as always picture quality is astounding. Sound quality was not my focus as my TV is connected to SONY stereo system via fiberoptic which makes all the difference. I am very happy with my purchase and though it is not in OLED technology hardly I can tell anything wrong. Thanks HB Photos for opportunity to get this one at holiday discount sells.

Motion handling solved
I purchased this model because the judder on my other television drove me crazy. An example of the judder seemed most prevalent when I watched panning shots in dark scenes on The walking Dead. My other television displayed a jerky screen almost like an old video game with too many objects on the screen for the computer to keep up with. This model solved all of that. The hdr on this model is great. This model and my PS4 PRO also work amazing together.

Worth the money
There definitely is no replacement for displacement. Worth the 85. No issues with brightness degradation at an angle like some online reviews say. Beautiful picture, smart features convenient. Bundled this with sony x800, st5000 soundbar, and ps4 pro. Would have bought the 100 but didnt have a first born to sell. Wall mounting this was a tad challenging due to its size. Package was well secured with tons of protection. Would buy again.

Only one nit to pick
So far, the TV has been great - great picture, very good sound too. My only gripe is that the feet are arranged at such an angle, as it then requires a stand so much wider than if the feet simply jutted out at right angles to the screen. Not sure why they chose such an angle. We now have to sideline our beautiful Bello TV stand and look for something at least 70 inches wide. So far most are unattractive or feature-poor.

Too Early To Tell
So far - so good. Super great picture straight out of the box - no adjustments needed from factory settings. Easy to set up, great audio as well as picture quality considering it isnt as pricey as the newer LED model TVs. Only had it a month though, but my 10 year old 55 Sony still has a better picture than my 2 year old Samsung. That is precisely why I bought the Sony 75. Beats Samsung to pieces so far !!!!

Just OK product
This model disappoints me. My previous 55 LG can play files from my Synology smoothly, but not Sony. Either it cannot play it, or it gets frozen after around 1 min playing. This irritates me as I cannot watch any family video clips that I save in my Synology. Quality of picture just the same (or a little bit worse) than my LG older model. Next time, I will buy LG or Samsung, not Sony anymore.

Bravo, Bravia!
Two weeks and I'm still exploring the internet programs and programing accessible by this truly SMART TV. To my eye the Bravia has all the depth, color and contrast of OLED TVs costing twice as much. My B&H salesman was extremely knowledgeable and patient. B&H delivery used both email and phone to set an exact arrival time and carried the TV up two flights of stairs at no extra charge.

Elated with Purchase
I purchased the Sony XBR 65X900F to replace a 50 Inch Panasonic Plasma. After a few issues with set-up (self inflicted), I am overjoyed with the new TV. The picture is amazing. I love the design and the fact the stand is compact and non obtrusive. I have utilized all of the TV features, but I am sure when I explore more, I will be just as satisfied with my purchase.

Amazing picture ! Almost like having an IMAX in the home . Very heavy (100+ lbs) so be sure to have plenty of help unboxing and attaching the legs. Becareful not to miss the small setup instructions which were hidden under the packing materials. The only complaint was it took 2 weeks to get here after ordering from B&H and Im only 1 1/2 hours from the city.

Great picture
This tv is ready to go right out of the box. The only adjustment I have made is with the sound menu. The sound from many of these large flat tvs are not the greatest, but if you take some time to adjust the tone section in the menu you can can actually get a reasonably sound from these units

Beautiful LED TV
Colors are very vibrant and blacks are very deep for LED panel. Smart home features are a cool gimmick for Alexa and Google control. The only issue, that I'm still trying to figure out is how to get 5.1 over ARC. not a deal breaker because I don't really plan to use the TV's apps.
