A must for Sony users
This is the best wide angle lens for your sony! I used to use canon camera and lenses, I had the canon 16-35 f/2.8L II lens and this one has nothing to envy. Great quality and sharpness, its light and durable so if you are a landscape photographer this is a must.

Perfect lens for A7s
I was excited when this lends was announced .. And just as excited when it delivered a few weeks ago! This is the perfect compliment to the 24-70 and a great clean /sharp lens for use with the A7s on the RONIN. The lens is beautifully built and looks awesome!

Perfect match for my A7RII
Read good and so so reviews. With the SONY trade in program, I finally succumb and bought it. So far, all the positives are real. Haven't found anything negative yet. Taking advantage of the 42MP sensor, it's like having a 16-50mm lens. Highly recommended!

Ziess Lens Review
although this was a used product, it looked like it was brand new. only damage i could find to anything was to the box, however, only just a couple dents in the box but what does that matter. overall, an amazing lens and is shooting great video for me.

Great on vacation
Took it on a recent trip to Italy and almost never took this lens off Sony A7S. Worked great to capture the architecture of Rome, Florence and Venice, and the landscapes of Positano, the Cinque Terra and Tuscany. Honestly, it made the trip.

Sharp af
I bought this lens for landscapes and street few days ago . Its very sharp like a good knife. I dont see any softness around corner so I cant say I would recomm it. Zoom works great. You get what you pay for. I love the build quality.

One of the best lenses I've bought
It is pricey, but you DO get what you paid for. I love the wide to medium zoom range. It's tack sharp and amazing for video. My only complaint is that the bokeh isn't so great, but there's a f/2.8 option that will help you with that.

The one to get for the A7
I was able to get this lens before a trip to Zion. The new 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS was everything that I expected! With the A7 with this lens together, the weight was next to nothing and it felt solid enough for the outdoors activities.

Great lens for video.
This lens with the Sony A7s is a killer combo for video. The continuous auto-focus works extremely well in video mode and is therefore ideal for one man gimbal applications. The optics is also excellent for stills even on the A7r.

Excellent match for the A7RII
I use this lens primarily for landscape and natural subjects. Used with the A7RII it focuses neither front nor back at both ends of its focal length. Construction feels solid for such a light lens and the controls work smoothly.

Wow Sony!
This is a great lens to walk about with. It provides the wide angle needed. Seeing I'm not too concerned with bokeh for landscape the f4 is quite sufficient. It is lighter than a 2.8 lens by far. Thus far I'm pleased.

Super Nice !
The best Sony/Zeiss E mount lens that I have. This is better than my e mount Sony/Zeiss 24-70 f4 and 16-70 f4 . I tested it at all apertures at various focal length , and it is very sharp through out the frame .

Great Lens
I now feel like the Sony full frame system is a system. Its great that you can use adapters and most any lens on these cameras, but its better when you can use the native lenses. And this one is a good one.

Loving this lens so far
Ive only had a couple opportunities to use this since purchasing; but really loving it so far. The AF seems snappy. Yes, Id love to be able to drop to a lower aperture, but the 2.8 just wasnt in the budget.

Excellent Lens
I bought this for doing real estate photography. It's perfect. I am not shooting wide open so I would not need the f/2.8. For about $1000 less I have a lightweight wide lens with excellent optical quality.

A solid zoom lens
Picked this up to take photos of architecture - performs great - very sharp. There is some lens distortion around 16 mm, its lowest f stop is 4, and it's a little on the pricey side -but over all worth it.

An amazing lens!!
One of the sharpest lenses in the Sony FE lineup in my opinion. I admit it's pricey, but it's worth it! Great image & build quality that's expected of Sony/ Zeiss. Another great addition to my bag!

Decent Landscape Lens
I brought this lens with on a hunting trip. it took amazing landscape scenes and a good walk around lens, i would buy this. it is a bit steep on price but hey, its what you pay for quality.

amazing
Great image quality, very good built, not as big or heavy as I suspected(to compare it to my old canon gear I would say it is as big and heavy as the 35L). It's perfect for my new A7ii.

Completes my Arsenal of lenses
Great for street photography, when wanting to be up close and personal Very sharp & autofocus works well with my 7R II. Compliments my 70-200mmm F4 G and FE 24-70 mm F4 ZA OSS.

Super Sharp Fast Focus!
I purchased this lens for my Sony A7s ii, and it is better than expected. Super fast and quiet focusing. I have enjoyed using it over the past couple weeks. Loving it so far.

Another great Sony/Zeiss lens
I bought this lens to fill in the super wide angle end of my lens collection. I will use it for landscape most of the time and may try it for moonlit night photos.

Not sharp enough
I bought this lense but have to returned it after my trip. Don't know if I got a bad copy, but it's just not sharp enough. May I have to go to the 16-35 F2.8 GM?

Great lens for Sony 6500 etc
Solid build typical of Zeiss and great autofocus using video on Sony 6500. Magnification factor puts you in very usable 24-50(ash) mm range that is very useful
