Bottom line amazing headphones....
As soon as I saw the box I was impressed. ... very inviting. Especially with the gold box and red lining. When I opened the box and held the headphones I was very impressed with the build. And I plugged it into my soundboard and was blown away with the warm bass and awesome mid tones and highs. Definitely recommend this product!.

Great set of headphones.
The Sony MDR-V6 are a great set of headphones. I had used them years ago, switch to Bose and now I'm glad I switched back to Sony. They've got an excellent sound and a great feel to them. I wish they had included an extra set of foam covers, that's the first thing that goes. I was tempted to buy a set of Shures, just for that.

These are the best
I have been using these phones for at least 20 years. I do voiceovers for a living and DJ occasionally. They are super clear, have just the right amount of bass. To me, they make music sound the way it is supposed to sound. You can pay more for a set of cans but why? If you don't need in-ear monitoring, these are your choice.

Best deep and full bass! Sooo worth it!
As an audiophile, I deeply enjoy all of the subtle things about music many people look past. The frequency response has to be low for good bass however the mids have to be clear and the treble has to be well defined. The MDR-V6s have it all, perfectly balanced and rich sound. On top of that B&H has the best price on the web!

super value
These things deserve their good reputation. For the very reasonable price, they deliver excellent sound and better than any other I heard anywhere near the money. Better than some at higher prices. Very neutral, clean sounding without harshness, good but not pounding boosted bass. Long cord not the best for portable uses.

Better than I thought
I tried the more expensive models from various brand names and could not tell a difference among them. I was very pleased with the clarity and well balanced sound of the Sony MDR-V6. Will paying three times as much produce a better experience? Probably, but I am more than pleased with these. Try them and see for yourself.

One of the Best!
I read many reviews for many headphones, and these seemed to have the best reputation and a great price point. Wide range, nice lows, and good response.. you will be happy with these headphones!Only complaint is the ear pieces wear out over times.. everyone recommends the Beyerdynamic Velour Padded Earcushions from B&H@

They get the job done and don't break
I like these because they do not have a bunch of plastic parts that break at the wrong times when I'm in the field recording audio. I wish there were a way to make a cord less bothersome, but until these are wireless, that's not going to happen. Great phones if you are a field person who puts hard use on your equipment.

the best headphones
i use these headphones in my studio and for djing. the headphones i had before these were the mdr-v7506 (almost the same headphones) which i had for about 15 years until they finally gave out (my daughter pulled a wire out, breaking them). and in another 15 years if i need new headphones again, i'd buy these same ones.

Sound great
I bought these to replace my 20 year old Technics closed backed headphones. I do a lot of recording as well as travel listening. These headphones sound very good. They were much improved over Technics I had. I listened to a range of headphones at the B&H Store and these came out on top for value and sound performance.

Clean, Compact, Sounds GOOD
I use this headphone while editing and mixing. It does a greater job than it's cost. Ear pads are very comportable, I have no problem wearing avg of 3hrs. Although it is not a greatese headphone, it catches most of the pitches. If it is going to be used on studio for editing and mixing, then I highly recommend it!

Best Headphones at a steal of a price
These are the best headphones I have ever owned. The sound is clean and crisp. The over the ear design works flawlessly and does a good job of cancelling out any outside noise (even though these aren't noise cancelling headphones). If you plan to use these on the go, just be aware that the cable is very long.

Great set of headphones
I use this product in my video production to ensure a great audio track. I can hear an vast range of sounds which allows me to detect unwanted background noise on the video. I can always count on great audio reproduction with these headphones. I would recommend this product for anyone in the video business.

Exceptional sound
We actually bought these for our 4 year old to use with a portable DVD player and Leap Frog elactronic game on trips. Someone had recomended this ,but it seemed pricey considering the intended use. However, now the whole family has used them and no doubt they will be worth every penny. Really a great sound.

Solid
I just finished composition and sound design work for a piece at MIT. Surprise, MIT has a theater department!I used these headphones to compose music while sitting in rehearsals. There was confusion because these headphones are the standard headphones of MIT's theater techs also. Great value for the money.

Great quality headphones!
I use them at my desk, on the go (iPhone) and for DJing. Really impressive range of sound, good solid bass. I was pleased with how much sound is blocked out by the full-ear covers. Cable is slightly cumbersome when you're storing it in your pocket, the coils take up considerable space. Great purchase!

Awesome Professional Headphones!
These headphones are great! They are almost identical to the MDR-7506 sound wise and appearance wise. You might as well save some money and go with these since they sound very similar. I love the coiled cord too. I use these when editing short films as well as when I am being a boom operator on films.

Crystal Clear Sound and Noise Reduction
Best headphones out there that don't require batteries for noise reduction. Very happy with this purchase. The sound is so clear you would think you are listening to the artists in a quality recording studio. I'm hearing things I've never heard in songs I've completely memorized. Highly recommended

Good for the money
Still breaking them in but sound is very flat. Good monitoring headphones and will need some time to break in. Compared to my Sennheiser hd280 they seem to be less heavy in the mid bass and treble is a lot more neutral. For the price you cannot go wrong. Don't isolate as well as the Senns hd280.

V-6 headphones..
They have been making these headphones for years. For good reasons, they don't cost an arm and leg and they work great, sound good, well built. I use mostly on my guitar effects and in the studio. Check the prices and you will see B & H has the best price on these headphones, you will find!!!!

V6, No doubt!
I got these headphones for the home-recording purpose. These headphones perform perfect flat sound, not exaggerated. And these are much cheaper than other monitoring headphones. I can say these are the best headphones under $, possibly even under $ or $.I recommend these headphones for indoor.

Better than expected. Great surprise.
I bought this headphones for studio use. I was looking for an alternative solution for tracking choirs and orchestras in my studio. We generally use 7506 , Sennheiser hd 280 and Akg 271, but this MDRV6 heaphones has great sound compared to 7506 and they are cheaper. I will buy more of course.

I use them at home to listen to The Beatles, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Led Zeppelin... and Chopin. You will not by better headphones for less than $.The sound quality is excellent.I could use some more isolation (from ambient sounds).Plastic parts look OK, but that I am not to crazy about them.
