AMAIZING CAMERA WORTH EVERY PENNY!
I normally shoot with a Canon 1DX, great camera. On our last european vacation I found myself lugging around way too many lenses, accessories and not to mention all that weight. All I used was my 28-35 2.8 mostly. All shots were set at 35mm and only once I pulled out the 70-200 2.8 Found this baby and now have been shooting with it for one week and yes I am going to sell my Canon 1DX The 35mm lens is just superb and the finished product is amazin... Nearly the camera of my dreams.
I do a great deal of street, public event and travel photography. My kit has long consisted of two full-frame bodies, one with a 35mm lens on it all the time. I use that for about 80% of what I shoot. And the other that more often than not has either an 85 or 135mm lens on it - occasionally a 20mm. So this camera all by itself replaces one of my SLRs and is far lighter and smaller. In reality, I can replace more than that. The lens is so sharp an... Show More

Superb image quality
This an excellent camera for THE premier 35mm focal length shooting experience. I'm a long time Leica M shooter and hate big cameras. The RX1R II is what I've been waiting for the past several years and is now my main digital body for color use, which accompanies my Leica M3 and two prime lenses for analog monochrome use. What's to like? The RX1R II is very small and light (smaller than the Leica M series; it's more comparable to the Leica IIIf i... Show More

Small, sharp, serious camera
The pop up viewfinder works beautifully; images are super sharp. For those who like to go out with a single prime lens to intensify and challenge their vision, this tiny camera is perfect. Wear it around your neck on a short tether like some do their eyeglasses.

What a wonderful camera!
Ladies and Gentlemen, just jump on this camera if you prefer 35mm focal length. You WILL NOT regret it. The camera is marvelous in terms of image quality, dynamic range and yes, form factor. The AF and the pop-up EVF are equally amazing. I have been a Leica user for a long time with M lenses and M film/digital cameras. I also own a7 cameras and sony/zeiss lenses. Now, the rx1r m2 and a7r m2 are my goto cameras. My M lenses above 35mm work great o... Show More

Keeping with the tradition
The image quality that comes from the RX1, RX1R and the RX1R II is amazing, coming from such a small camera. The tilt screen and the pop-up electronic view finder is makes the mark ii version of this camera even better. Improved auto focus is a great improvement allowing more sharp images when tracking a subject. The manual controls make this camera a joy to use. The 35mm focal length is my favorite, and this camera allows me to focus on taking p... Show More

Sony RX1R2
I am really excited to put my hands on it. I have been comparing it with other cameras in the market and this new sony keeps popping up to overtake other pro.cameras around. Price is not bad for that type of pro camera, the price of it matches a price of a DSLR body only camera; plus the built in lens that comes with it is a multi purpose lens that serves the necessary situations that a photographer will be put in. My advice to all is to consider this awesome camera that is made by sony.

JUST A STEP AHEAD
This is a perfect camera for journalists and also street photographers, actually I have to confess that I was planing to buy a7rII with Zeiss Loxia 35 f2 this week, and use it for mostly still images. but this camera just came up with the specs that I was dying for...! But when I checked the price tag... it wasn't like what I've been expected!

Uncompressed Raw, WoW!
I feel sorry for the people who buy Sony cameras to find a new model a year later. They are great cameras but, just like the NEX line they put out so many models that it is confusing. Sony should have a special program to give owners of past models, less than 2 years old in best condition, a $$discount on a new model. Huh?
