Perfect camera for my son!
He's a beginner photographer so I wanted to make sure I got him a camera that would give him some high end quality but not be very costly. I found the A6000 with two lens the best mixture of my requirements and budget.

Good for Beginners

LOVE!
this little guy is perfect and so light compared to my nikon d750. wanted something small and light weight to take on vacations with my family and this fits the bill perfectly. even the video is so nice on this thing, i'm seriously contemplating jumping ship from nikon to sony in my pro gear.

I X- thousand other owners cant be wrong
This camera, for me, has the quickest and most accurate autofocus of any camera that Ive ever owned. There is a huge amount of info on the web about this camera so I knew exactly what I was getting, and I was not disappointed. Its a great step-up camera for the casual photographer. Its a battery eater, especially when set to continuous autofocus. Buy a couple of extra batteries along with a charger, two batteries and a charger can be gotten for about $20.

Great Camera at a good price
Got this during the holiday sale. Great Camera with an decent lens but with a small bag. Overall this is great if you're upgrading and new to this type of camera.

First experience with mirrorless
I use it for shooting and recording choirs. I have two Panasonic 981 4K in a very perfect association. I put the ALPH A6000 as the central camera and the panasonics at right and left. Works very well.

Purchased as a gift
This is a nice package BUT 2 things to note: The camera is an older version and the instructions for Bluetooth connection reference an out of date app. Also the camera bag included is too small for the camera and the extra lens. As for the equipment-very nice photos so far

Im Stepping Up from amateur to ALPH A6000
Seems like everyone I ask about cameras is knowledgeable of mynew SONY baby. I am still learning how to use but the XMAS pictures are gorfeous so far. Looking forwrd to making my real estate website with my own pictures. Yay B&H and SONY and Mom. Happy New Year

Great low cost option.
I bought this model when it was first released and bought every new release, selling the older models. I finally upgraded to the a73, which is a fantastic camera, but I missed the a6000 so I bought another one. I know it is getting old and lacks a lot of the bells and whistles but it makes great images and is so light and fun to use, I have no regrets. It makes better images than any cell phone even with the kit lens. Photos are from Christmas day.

Lightweight Powerhouse
I chose this camera kit based on the recommendations of a friend who has one and my brother-in-law, who is a professional photographer. The camera body barely weighs more than my old advanced point-and-shoot that it replaced. The lenses also are light weight. As a hiker, backpacker and birder, I do not want to be weighed down by large or bulky camera gear. I look forward to learning to use all the features offered by this camera.

Great First Camera for Photography Enthusiasts
This is a great camera for anyone getting into photography. The bundled lenses cover a huge range and it's easy to carry around compared to other DSLRs. Mirrorless is the way to go anyways.

Of course there are good improvements in the new models of this camera, but this camera has really good features and for 1/3 of the price of a new one.

Very good outfit
Really good outfit, especially for the price. It is easy to use and the kit lenses are surprisingly sharp. My only problem is that I thought the kit was supposed to come with two UV filters, one for each lens. Mine came with one 49mm filter which fit the telephoto lens but no filter for the wide angle lens. B&H Please send the UV filter if you are listening. Thanks.

Excellent body and lenses in a small package
Despite not being the latest model of mirrorless camera, this small package doesn't lack in performance. Great shooting modes, the lenses are awesome, and I didn't have to break the bank to get performance that rivals my older DSLR system, which I spent much more on. Universal camera
I really like my new camera. Before I used Canon full-frame mirror system. Sony has a lot benefits. Its not too heavy. I take this camera everywhere. Also its not too expensive like full frame mirror camera, but quality pretty similar. Im not afraid take this camera to the night club or beach. AF is amazing! Its very easy to give your friends, who are not photographer and take pictures of your self))) I highly recommend this camera and B&H-who knows what they sell

Solid little camera
Sturdy build, feels good in your hands when shooting. Easy interface/menu setup. Lots of lens options in the Sony E-mount family. Affordable! I dig it!!

PlayMemories App is worthless.
Sony a6000 is a fantastic camera and the service from B&H is excellent. But, the camera is useless without proper software. In order to download the photos from camera to your iPhone or laptop, you need to download PlayMemories App. THIS APP IS THE MOST IRRITATING SOFTWARE. I am thinking of returning the camera back to B&ah because of this useless software.

Expired, useless software for excellent camera
Would have given it 5 stars but my new camera cant currently do as advertised without my buying third party software. Sonys playmemories software is supposed to organize your photos and enable wireless downloads. The instructions told me to install it even though Sony knows it wont work with any updated computer, PC or Mac.
