Marvelous camera, battery life shocking
Briefly, this is the most capable camera I've ever owned and I'm leaving a Canon 5DII system. The weight enables me to take it anywhere, the Zeiss 16-70 lens is sharp and responsive for my needs. I was aware of a battery life issue prior to buying but I was surprised how short a life each charge has. I got a spare battery and one just died last night so B&H will get another order. Great camera with only minor issues
I bought this camera with the kit lens at B&H after months of reading reviews and handling several other cameras. I don't regret my choice. The A6000 is a great camera: it is small yet handles very well (indeed its shutter noise is both pleasing and evidence of high design and manufacturing quality). Excellent camera!!
I am a hobbyest photographer and have been looking for a compact system camera for a while now. Finally, I decided to pull the trigger and get the A6000. The auto focus is nothing short of amazing, image quality is excellent and it is overall just a wonderful little camera. A perfect blend of convenience and quality.

Definitely the Alpha camera on the block
I had been using a Cannon SLR for a number of years but found I was using my iPhone more often for pictures than my camera. A good friend recommended the a6000 so since we were going on a trip I decided to do so with a new camera. It has lived up to all expectations, ease of use, quality of output, technically challenging if one wants to be, and great support videos from B&H's library. Im in Europe for one more week, but the first week using the camera has been fantastic.

Wish I had gotten this sooner.
I'm a photographer/editor doing more shooting. Sold most of my Canon/Nikon stuff (except a couple favorite lenses) and got this after sooooo many people raving about it online. XAVC-S looks great with the v2 firmware update. Kit lens looks surprisingly good, and killer deal for the 55-210. Don't wait. Get it and get to work. There will always be something newer, but I'm a total Sony fan now.

Stong tool, weak sound
Like many things in life, what is important is in the details. Sony has once again produced a great product. The Alpha a6000 produces crisp edges to main focal points. Great camera!
I was choosing between the A6000 and X-T10. My main purpose of buying a camera was for family pictures and capturing the moments of my kid growing up. It was definitely a tough decision as I like the controls of the X-T10 and the JPEG output. However it really came down to ergonomics. For the A6000, my wife and I could take photos with one hand. Also she felt the Sony was easier for her to use. So that ultimately was the defining factor. You can't go wrong with either, but the A6000 has been a great camera and we are very happy with the RAW files, which we edit in LR.

This is an amazing camera. It's just the right size for street / travel photography, lightweight, built well, feels great in the hands. Operates fast and without any hiccups and issues. No more focus and recompose
Originally bought for walk around camera for casual shooting, but love it so much I almost shoot with A6000 exclusively now. Coming from Canon 6D (11 AF points), the A6000 is heavenly when focusing. No more focus and recompose on every shot. Granted it is a few milli-second slower on auto focus vs DSLR, doesnt matter much to me as I don't shoot sports or fast moving subjects often. everything I wanted
hobbyist photographer moving over from Canon dSLR. This little thing can take some serious images. I love the small size, quick shooting, quick AF, and excellent image quality. Using my Canon lenses via an adapter is functional but not ideal (unusable AF). Paired with an e-mount lens, this thing is a dream come true.

Really good travel camera with some caveats
I have used this camera very extensively now to make some judgement. I like the layout and position of buttons and dials, as well as the menu, even though I think Fuji X-T1 has a better layout and menu. Great Camera for the price
This camera was a replacement for my Nikon D80. I was looking for a compact camera as I found the D80 too heavy, especially while traveling. The a6000 was prefect for me. Great Mirrorless!
I use this camera to take (and sell) stock photos. It's fast enough to capture hummingbirds (up to 11 fps) and light enough that I'll carry it anywhere. So far, I'm loving it.

Versatile travel camera
I purchased this camera for international travel to have a lighter camera than my Canon 6D. I was pleased with the results from the smaller sensor. This camera has a lot of user functionality and I appreciated having the HDR capability built in. The resolution of the photos is adequate for the 8x10 calendars that I produce each year. This camera is great. I use it to take pictures of my kids sporting events, vacations, and family gatherings. The camera body is light weight and the included kit lense is very good. It's great for printing out normal size pictures. If your planning on doing large(poster size) prints then I would recommend a different lense. Some reviewers were saying the kit lense sucks. I have to say...
I haven't had this camera long but I'm really surprised at the quality. There is some banding on some photos, (stripes down the image on some images) The raw file isn't as good as my Nikon D700 but this camera costs a fraction of what the pro bodies cost. Excellent broadcast video with 2.0 upgrade
Went on a German site and upgraded to 2.0 firmware to shoot video in XAVC. Bottom line, I just shot beauties, billboard shots, weigh ins and fighter B-Roll for Network MMA fight. Just added a good camera light and video looked great and cut with much higher priced video gear. Stills are better than ever with the upgrade. I used the Sony 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 zoom and Sigma 60mm prime. Sharp and accurate color reproduction. Best bang for the buck if you want both good stills and video. Compares very favorably with the RX10 I had for video and shoots better stills.

Bought this camera for my wife. She loves it and is attending classes and really learning how to use it. I also bought the Sony A-Mount to E-Mount lens adapter so she could use my A-Mount lenses (the adapter is great) but that is for the future. Powerful and compact
I bought the a6000 to take on a trip to Ireland, and didn't want to lug my SLR and heavy L lenses. I was thrilled with the results. The camera is so smart that I used P ( program) For 90%+ of my shots and got fantastic results. Occasionally I'd use the Auto HDR to punch up some bland landscapes, and it did the job without making the image cartoonish. My traveling companions were impressed by the results my pocket camera got. So was I. I'm sold on this incredible gadget.
