Perfect audio
The first use of this mic was for a piano recital and the audio that this mic picked up was excellent. I then used it to get the house feed of a cantata, and again, it was excellent! This mic is worth every penny!

Great little stereo mic!
Great little mic that sounds good and offers stereo for a reasonable price. Build quality is very good. The backside sticks out a little too far to easily use the view finder. The power on light does not remain lit when using, hard to tell if microphone is on or battery has died.

Surprised by the sound quality and construction
i was in the market for DSLR stereo microphone until i spotted this one in the deal zone. i was hesitant because it had virtually no reviews anywhere. i took a chance and i'm surprised by it's sound quality and construction. i'm no sound expert but it sure sounds great for my online delivery. you can find my test video on youtube by searching - Senal SCS-98 DSLR/Video Stereo Microphone Sound Test

Good mike
I wanted a mike that was stereo and I could bring closer to the sound source (in my case It was speeches). I bought the pearstone extension cord and they worked very well. the speech was very clear and the bass roll off switch really helped for a nearby low frequency hum that was in the room. The only con i could think of is that when turned on, The LED lights up for a second and turns off.

Awesome Microphone!
I use this on a Nikon D810 DSLR camera. I also have the Nikon Microphone and the D810 on board mic to compare. The two Nikon's mirror each other, recorded sound is about identical. And the SCS-98 totally kills the Nikon's. It is not just better, it is amazingly better! Clear sound, and serious stereo sound separation, even with voice recordings. Great Mic on the go!
I've never heard about this mic before I bought it through Deal Zone and since it was really cheap I decided to give it a try. I was really impressed with the sound quality. Ideal for on the go interviews, podcasts or outside activities.

This mic rocks!
More than I expected in this price range. Can't say enough about it and the audio quality is excellent. I do a lot of outdoor video shoots...The dead kitten cover blocks out wind noise extremely well and I have found no problems with that. The mounting is not exceptional but the cushioning with a rubber band sound barrier system keeps vibration from causing any noise problems. 5 stars!

great buy
I had been looking for a good affordable on camera mic. I stumbled upon the senal microphone. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but I'm happy I put the extra money into this purchase. I use the microphone on every shoot and it has never failed. I'm still using the same battery. So the battery life is excellent. I haven't yet found anything to complain about with this mic.

Very impressed
Snagged this mic on the BH Photo daily special for a song. Attached it to my FDR-AX100 and was amazed at the quality of the sound it generated. Stylish appearence and seems well made so very happy so far. Good to have in my tool kit as a backup just in case.

Outstanding Microphone
I bought this camera as a DealZone special, saving a lot of money, but it's absolutely worth the full price. I use mine mainly for recording music, and the AAA battery requirement makes it a lot easier to use than one with a less common battery. I highly recommend it.

Excellent -- quality construction and sound
This is solid, well-built, convenient to use and sounds very good. I'm typically using one or more lavaliers (AT803 or Shure SM93), but when I need something to mount on a camera shoe, I'd been relying on a Rode Videomic. This sounds way better than the Rode, which is decent for the price but has a compressed, mid-rangey sound by comparison. Quality mic for DSLR video
I bought this mic on sale from B&H, without any reviews, so I figured I'd take a chance. For the price it could not be beat. As soon as I received it I compared it to my Rode VideoMic Pro and I have to say I liked the audio this mic recorded a lot more. It's clean with no his or static. Good Product
This mic records with good stereo separation. It is compact and fits nicely on the camera's accessory shoe. I now have an affective tool to use both on my compact HD-video camera and DSLR. I have no complaints.
