Just an upgrade from the 256 GB, I had in my computer. Sales agent was knowledgeable and price very reasonable. I received the item in a couple of days from their office in New York to West Coast.. 3000 Miles in a couple of days.. Quick service and top of the line products.. Much needed speed increase
Easy to install and much faster then my spinney disk. Using as my boot disk, startup has gone from about 3 minutes to less than 30 seconds power on to login screen. There has also been a noticeable reduction in loading times for programs breathing new life back into my aging workstation. Highly recommend and SSDs are the way to go.

340MB/s read 430MB/s write over USB 3.0
This is my first SSD, bought it primarly to use with my Atomos Ninja Flame 7 monitor/recorder, but also thought I may edit some smaller video projects on it. Benchmarks on a 15 MBP over USB 3.0 and the StarTech USB 3.0 to 2.5 SATA III Drive Adapter Cable (19.7) calble around 340MB/s read 430MB/s write, about what I was expecting.

Game Changer for my iMac
I swapped this SSD in to replace the original HDD that came in my iMac and it was a complete game changer. Boot time in under 10 seconds vs minutes. Applications open close and function as they should and no longer does the computer hang up on every little command. It is has to be the best mod for iMacs equipped with the 1TB HDD.

Great Product Easy to Install and Best upgrade to my laptop
I recently upgraded my OS drive on my 8 year old PC using the Samsung EVO 860 1 TB drives. What a difference! The machine used to take five plus minutes to boot up. After the upgrade, I'm logging in 10 seconds & a cold start. Not only does the machine boot up faster, all the applications run faster. This made a huge improvement.

Easy install
Installation was pretty easy. You will have to go to the Samsung website to download the program to migrate from your old disk to this new one. Also, remember that you will have to go into Windows and have it format the SSD and then mount it before the computer will recognize that there is a new disk attached to the computer.

Big storage upgrade for my wifes laptop
My wifes Lenovo t460s was out of space on the original 512G SSD. I purchased this Samsung 2TB drive and was able to clone it using Samsungs cloning software. Now she has plenty of room for her photos! I did have to purchase an external enclosure for this drive in order to do the cloning as her latop only has one SSD slot.

finally ssd becoming way more affordable than a few years ago, speedy near the limits of SATA III and rated as one of the best you can afford, Samsung 860 EVO outdone its competitors. With its tough TBW and 5 years warranty, it can endure massive writes with precision and speed. would buy again if it gets even cheaper.

Speed up your computer!
Easy to install with Samsung software on their website. Clone your existing drive. Same thing you had on your old drive only lightning fast. Total boot in 15 seconds, retrieves files and starts software almost instantaneously. The cheapest way to make your older computer run fast. The best thing to happen to computers.

Simple to upgrade
I had a unique problem (I had to recover an earlier SQL backup) that required me (as a safety measure) to clone my existing system on to a slightly larger SSD. Goofy / McGiver-esque solution but, it worked perfectly. The Samsung cloning program(?) is about the easiest and most effective cyber-solution youll ever use.

So far so good.
Be careful when you buy this product. You need to also buy a M.2 USB adapter to transfer your old data. Also the Samsung migration software which you have to download. did not work for me despite multiple attempts. I ultimately had to buy Paragons HD Manager to clone my old data to the new drive. Working well so far.

For those of us that can't wait for the prices to fall
We all know the prices for the older tech will eventually go lower, but some of us are impatient. The Samsung 1TB EVO 860 is working great so far and it was cheaper at B&H that my normal supplier Tiger Direct, who is still 50 dollars more. Always great to find places who will give you a better deal.. Thank you

Excellent drive
I have been replacing older hard drives in Mac computers with these Samsung Solid State Drives - basically any Mac 2010 or newer with an original HD. Speeds the computers up faster than when they were brand new. This was for a 2013 iMac, nearly 3 times as fast. Easy way to bring new life to an older computer.

Only getting 270mbs on it
Short headline. Set up with m.2 to usbc box. Need to use usbc to c cable to get 270. If Ancient obsolute usb2 is used speed drops to 45mbs. I formatted into 2 partitions and works great. In cozumel now at bar so not taking time to test with galaxy 9. 9 picked up partitions but not format. Will test after vaca

Price, speed, reliability
I currently have 6 of these SSDs in various sizes and have never had one issue from them. This is my 1st terabyte drive, but as expected, it performed just like the others. If you compare these Samsung SSDs with everyone else's specs you cannot beat the read/write speeds and price/Gb that these drives offer

Solid Drive
Using this for an internal desktop backup drive. Operating system is on a 1TB SSD Samsung drive. Backing up large volumes of data on this drive going SSD to SSD is twice as fast as going from my old SSD to a mechanical disc drive. Pretty slick. I'm counting on some long term longevity out of this drive.

Supercharge your PC
Neighbor has a 4-year old HP All-in-one PC that was running slow. Quick glance showed the spinning hard drive was the bottle-neck. B&H delivered the 860 EVO in 2 days. Fast SSD
Chose this brand for their superiority in controllers and longevity. In the past, Samsung EVO and Pro SSD's had unconditional 5 and 10 year warranties. Now they have set TB's written limitations within the warranty time period. Makes you wonder. Overall, fast and best priced for value in the EVO line.

Bad purchase at $327
Used this ssd as boot drive and it worked great till it failed at 11 months. Do not recommend this drive. Too expensive and did not hold up. I do plan to contact Samsung about the 5 year warranty? B&H has supported as well as they can and I do recommend using B&H. They always given me great service.

Samsung 860 Solid State Hard Drive
Installation is easy. First thing I noticed when using a SS drive is the computer booted up much faster. I'm using a Dell 7010 desktop. I'm also experiencing less heat with the SS drive which is a plus. I would recommend solid state over the conventional hard drives. Worth the difference in price.

Great for Video Capture
The EVO 1 TB drive is a cost effective way to capture video when used with an Atomos Ninja V, for example. It will hold up to 7 hours of HD and 1.5 hours of UHD from a Sony A7 (4,2,2, 8-bit). Although intended for internal use, the EVO can be mounted in an inexpensive module which fits the Ninja.

Worthwhile
This is a clear upgrade from any traditional HD or SSHD. After installing this drive my PC will boot to the Windows 10 login screen in less than 25 seconds and applications launch almost instantaneously. The only downside is the price, however for the performance it offers I'd say it's worth it.

Super SSD
This is my third Samsung SSD purchase...all of them are great. The Samsung Data Migration software makes cloning effortless and the Magician software takes care of all the drive management. And of course B & H is where I bought all three of them...nothing compares to their prices and delivery.
