Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera (Black, Body Only)

Superb, So Far!!!
The main reason why I bought the Olympus E-M1 Mark II camera is for the uber Fast AF which is far better than any cameras in the market today. So far, it hasn't failed me and it's great for wild life photography. Now, if Olympus has a telephoto lens that won't cost an arm and a leg, that will be wonderful!!!

Unbelievable Handheld Performance
I have photographed professionally for some 25 years and recently switched from Canon APS-C cameras to OM-D E-M1 Mark II for my hand held photography. The sharpness and quality of the images from this camera are equal to my tripod mounted Canon APS-C images. With a few presets, the color matches Canon's beautiful tones and the body can be set up to operate like my Canons - muscle memory is preserved. Better yet, I can capture low light compositio... IN LOVE
I. AM. IN. LOVE! Super fast, pairs perfectly with the 12-40mm pro lens. I think it does fantastic even in low light. There are so many settings on this camera, just be prepared to really take the time to learn the camera. It can be set up uniquely for any situation and once you learn the ins and outs, you can customize for your own workflow. I love the wireless photo transfer option. Keep in mind, I didn't realize this but it will only transfer J... Show More

Amazing camera that competes with the big guys
I have had this camera since February and have been absolutely amazed at its abilities. Comparing back to back with other, larger format, cameras, it almost always comes out ahead. Very fast AF and lots of neat features, like focus bracketing for macro and landscape shots, with foreground and background all in focus when the bracketed shots are stacked. The only shortcoming I have found is that continuous AF does not result in tack sharp images a... Show More

Great multipurpose camera!
Formal portraits, street, travel, landscape and sport photography; this camera can do everything with confidence! E-M1 Mark II is a feature rich and highly adjustable to your own style without overloading interface with buttons and gimmicks. All features are well thought out. I quickly adapted proshot mode to make nice pictures mid-action for my dancing kids. And I find high resolution mode quite useful for still images. I am looking forward to u... Show More

I did buy this product again
A 5 star camera with a great feature set. I bought it for this. The draw back is that the manual does not explain much about how to use it. Just what it does. YouTube and the review sites have been great in this regard.

Great do-it-all camera
E-M1 Mark II is my everyday always with me camera that do everything from portraits to street to landscape to sport photography. Great image stabilization, great features, great image quality. This camera has it all. I am a long time user of E-M5 Mark II. E-M1 Mark II solved for me all shortcomings of E-M5.

Amazing Capabilities
This has all the fire power you will ever need. It has more of what I want then any other camera I've ever used and it can do almost anything you need it to do. Focus stacking, focus tracking, peak focusing ... more bracketing modes etc. etc. Olympus has created a hard act to follow!

Fabulous camera!
I've had this camera about a month and absolutely love it. I bought it so I could pass my Olympus OM-D E-M5 down to my partner?that was a great camera, but had a few shortcomings for me. In the past while hand-holding, I've had problems getting things sharp. With the OM-D E-M1, I've taken night shots and gotten things unbelievably sharp. While the menus are familiar to me, there are now several shortcuts to many of the menu items so you can quick... Show More

The perfect travel kit . . .
Having shot Nikon (currently shoot with the D750 and D500) for years, picking a mirrorless system for take with me everywhere purposes was no easy task. There are so many excellent options out there. The biggest mental hurdle I had to get over with Olympus was their sensor size. But once I fully appreciated that you give up very little in IQ or even DOF with the m4/3 sensor format compared to the APS-C format (full frame is another matter), I cou... Show More

Full speed ahead in the wrong lane.
The Olympus EM1 MII is a wonderful state-of-the-art 5-star engineering achievement. It feels like a shrunken old-fashioned pro film camera plus a digital display and lots of buttons. It has a bevvy of enhanced features that will appeal to pros and enthusiasts willing to spend days learning and more days using it often enough not to forget. So, what is there to regret? Sadly, this camera displays a failure of strategic vision, reminiscent of the N... Show More

I'm really impressed.
For my use case, which includes wildlife and landscape photography, Olympus offers an excellent camera. This camera, in combination with the pro glass, offers excellent performance that matches or rivals DSLR. The kit is small, light, and packable. I also really like that I don't need to agonize over a few rain drops here or there. I have rented and tried a large variety of setups, including Nikon, Canon, and Fuji, all with unique advantages, but... Show More

Excellent tool for macro/birds
so I brought this little beast and now I have a camera that I can use to handheld focus bracket and stack a macro image of a beetle. honestly, this is the best macro camera on the planet. the stabilization is insane and will help a lot with macro too. your keeper rate and image quality will make a humongous jump if you're a macro shooter and get this camera with the oly 60mm macro. it's very good for birds too: I manage a keeper rate of around 80... There's a lot packed in here
I've had a lot of Olympuses (Olympi?), back to the film years, including an E-500 and both OMD-5 models. I skipped the OMD-1, so this is a significant change for me. There is so much packed in this body, but a few things jump out immediately: - The Custom settings on the dial - I never liked, or trusted, the MySet concept. The dial settings are fantastic - basically I have 3 complete custom cameras ready to go, plus I usually use the 'A' setting ... Show More

Love this camera- a mirrorless that feels like a real camera and has the options to prove it. The lens is sharp and can use the focus stacking options available in camera.

Great camera in a small package!
I was looking for a lighter alternative to my full-frame camera, and Olympus delivers in a big way. The camera won't win in a pixel peeping contest against a Canon 5D IV, especially at the ultra-high ISO's, but the image quality is excellent and looks great up to ISO 6400. Higher ISO's up to 25,600 are usable, but you do start to see some digital noise. Focus is very fast and accurate. Camera is small, but has a great grip and excellent build qua... Show More

Excellent camera with more features than you can imagine.
This camera is better than most photographers. It has more features than you can imagine. It is configurable in literally hundreds of ways. The image quality from its sensor is of professional caliber. Dynamic range and highlight/shadow recoverability has improved from the E-M1. More resolution and slightly less noise at high ISOs as well. There is almost nothing you can't do with this camera. If you can't make excellent images with this camera, it is you and not the camera that is the problem.

I would buy this camera again, and I would buy it from B&H
A friend is a photography and camera enthusiast, and I liked his Olympus Micro 4/3. This is my second, and I LOVE the EM1 Mark ii. It's robust, it is more complex than the M10 but it is actually much easier for me to figure out and get the best from it. The defaults are, for the most part, very close to what I had set up for the M10. I've only had to customize minimally, and it was easy to figure out. And I love the additional buttons and robust ... Great light weight camera
I was looking for a light weight camera, easy to carry around all day and to travel by airplane with. It needed to produce good quality pictures. Keeping this in mind, I found the camera to be the perfect size and weight. I like the pro lens, but they are large and heavy, the only one that fit my bill was the Olympus 12-40 F2.8 pro. This size was perfect, I then needed to go up to 150mm, pro model was to heavy and big, I did try the Olympus 14-15... Show More
