Excellent Quality lens
Well built even though it is made of plastic rather than metal. Unlike the kit lenses that have plastic mounts, this guy has a metal one. It is very small and light weight. It has an extra tight fit to the body and talk about sharp...this lens lets you see the blood vessels in the eyes crisp as can be. Can't ask for any better images: rich color, sharp as a tack. Extra fast focusing...BAM, it's there! It delivers with a shade: another good feature.

Favorite Lens !!
I have taken more than 9000 images already with this lens ! 7500 + of those are taken in Santorini where I could capture some incredible sunsets, portraits, etc. I just love the bokeh it produces. I attach a sample image where you can see the sharpness at a coffee glass and in the back 2 people.. I use it with my e-pl5. Mounting other lenses, comparing, things are day and night ! Also the price is not bad at all. Definitely keeping it as long as I am into mivro four thirds.

Great lens with astonishing corner and edge sharpness at 1.8
The nifty 50 is still a lens I put on the camera and use a lot as a general purpose don't the leave the house without it optic. I've owned both this and the excellent Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4, and they are both great optics. The PL is a tiny bit sharper in the center wide open, but the gap is negligible and disappears stopped down a bit. The Olympus is a clear winner in edge and corner sharpness, even wide open it's sharpness across the frame is... Show More

Fantastic lens!
This is an extremely sharp, well built lens that produces great contrast and color on my OM-D EM-5 Mark II. I was tempted by the Panasonic 25mm f/1.4, but I read reviews that showed the Olympus version to be almost as good, with better resolution than the Olympus. I didn't try the Panasonic lens but I can't imagine it being better than the Olympus 25 mm, and the Olympus is half the price. I couldn't be happier with this lens and it's what I use most of the time.

Great Standard Prime!
For general photography. Landscapes, portrait, etc. Sharp at all apertures, excellent bokeh, well made and compact. Only thing I don't care about is the ring that' screws off to put hood on.

Solid Performing General Use Focal Length
Sharp lens. I like this focal length for general shooting family and friends. It also works very well for doing panos.

DO NOT BUY OLYMPUS 4/3 LENSES. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Only 1 star because light WILL pass through the lens if you use a pipe wrench to seat it. Other wise a piece of garbage. All Olympus cameras are defective.( made in china, Will not properly seat with Olympus Japanese lenses. Poor quality control.

Great Lens for GH4
I needed a good low-light fixed lens for my GH4 as well as mounted on my gimbal. This one works great, it's very small and comes with the lens hood too. Sometimes the cheaper lenses don't focus as fast or smoothly as the more expensive ones but this one is very fast and smooth. I use is mainly for video and it's a true 50mm with the 2x crop factor. So far, I couldn't be happier with it. It's a must have for your kit if you need a cheaper fixed lens. I would recommend it for sure.

Nice lens
Does a better then expected job. Light and fast. My only concern is when mounting it to the camera body, it turns a little rough against the body.

Great shots
Usually use a Nikon D800 or D7100 for my photos. Got this for Fourth of July pictures. Great low light shots of my granddaughter. Used a 50mm, 1.8 in the old days since the 1.4 was too expensive for a student. I loved the images. No complaints.

Great all around lens
This is a small, sharp, wonderful all around lens. I had put off buying this lens because I had the Olympus 12-40 Pro but decided to get it before heading on a trip. This little lens stayed on my camera almost the whole time. It's a great street shooter and all around shooter.

Super Lens
Acquired the E-M10 about a year ago for a two week trip to Europe because I did not want to take my Nikon system and was very happy with the 14-42mm kit lens. Just purchased this lens two weeks ago because I was shooting a lot of grandchildren school events and needed the extra speed. I have shot approximately 1,000 images with it and must say I am very impressed with the results! I have compared it to my Nikon D610 with the 50mm F1.8 and this combination actually produces better 8X10 prints. Light, fast focusing, and sharp wide open - great lens.

Nice lens
Bought this to use as a second portrait lens on my EM5-2. Was using my Panasonic/Leica 42.5mm f/1.2 as my primary portrait lens. I needed something with a shorter focal length for some indoor and outdoor portraits where space is tight. This 25mm f/1.8 is perfect for the job. I love the look I get out of the photographs. Good image quality. This is a nice bright fast lens. Can't wait to try it in other types of photography.

Good Lens
I like this lens for it's image quality, focusing speed and small size (I would wish it can be as small as a pancake though). My only complaint is that it is very stiff to mount on my EPL6 (much much stiffer than the kit lens, I almost suspect I'm going to break it).

Great Starter Lens
I love this prime lens. I was originally going to get the recommended Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm, but after some internal debate I decided on this one. It allotted me the $ I needed in my budget to get the Zoom H5 package deal that comes with a Lumix GH4 bundle (which I also highly recommend). It's super lightweight, yet incredibly durable. The focus glides so smoothly that it's an enjoyable experience in itself.I went with a prime lens because they ... Show More

This has been stuck on EM5 since I received it. Great lens for street shooting. It is sharp and renders colors great. Has become one of my favorite lenses. The fact that it is compact just makes it better. Auto focus is lightning fast.
