Disappointing buying experience, it eventually works

Yes, the card works, and Solidworks does well with fairly large models. This include many complex features and a part count in the hundreds per assembly. If it came installed, I would have no problem. I had the RTX 2080, and moved to this card when some unexpected CAD work entered my workflow on my personal workstation. Now the bad... First, it is not just an OEM card. It is some HP kit with a mounting tail on it. This would be a trivial issu... Show Moree except the thread locker was a bit tighter than expected. Also, the packagine was a bit of a crumpled mess with loosely fitting foam around the card. Second, the driver package from NVIDIA was less than I typically expect from them. It barfed a couple times on me before working. A little hiccup is expected when changing hardware, but it was not as polished as expected. Third, the supplemental power connector (8-pin) had one opening with a burr. I rubbed it off, and the power connector then seated. I am aggravated with the buy. For $1k, I expected more. Also, I would expect B&H to get the product description to be more accurate. If not for the quality performance once working, I would give it two stars. However, it does work, and I know that B&H would make it right if it did not.Show Less
