Very good for what is. It is high impedance with 42 ohms so not the most suitable for iphone, as it is it doesn't have a lighting connection but works wonders for Imac or macbook pro that still have the headphone port. Having previously had the old mo-fi, I did not particulary like the passive sound, it was not very transparent, and had the stay in your head sound. These are the headphones my son wanted for his birthday which was yesterday. He loves them so far. I think they sound great as well. As for longevity, that remains to be seen.
