DJI Mavic 2 Zoom with Hard-Shell Case Kit
DJI: The 'Apple' of the Drone Manufacturers
Hard to imagine how DJI could have bettered the original Mavic Pro which is an astonishing machine, but they have. The camera quality is the greatest improvement but now having all-round including above collision avoidance is brilliant. But the improved range (well beyond what is needed) and the improved radio signaling helps bring more confidence in using it (I had occasions with the original Mavic where I'd get some interference and the drone w... Exceptional Flight and Photo
I have flown a number of amateur photo/video drones in the past and have decided the Mavic Pro 2 is likely my favorite so far. Flying out of the box was a breeze. I had no issues syncing with the remote controller and getting the app/phone, controller, and drone to all communicate on the first try. Flying is a breeze with some experience. Highly recommend new users to leave beginner mode on until you feel much more comfortable flying in all direc... Show More

Outstanding quadcopter for the photographer on the move!
My 8th(?) drone, and 3rd flying camera from DJI. The design improvements are astounding and geared for the traveling photographer. The folding arms, propellers, protective camera cover, controller, etc. are ideal for compact carry in the included soft case. (Don't chuck the tags, as on one of them there is a tiny diagram as to how all the stuff fits into it.) Now instead of carrying a separate, large hard case on trips (DJI Phantom 4), I just pac... Get Ready... this is crazy
So, my history is S800, s1000, and the demised Karma. This just made all of my experience stand on end. You will not be sorry you purchased this drone, just be ready to spend some time in the great (wide) outdoors relearning how all the features work. My one piece of feedback, DJI provide a better tutorial or way to learn about all the great features you've packed into this drone without having to spend hours in the park. Maybe a sim so you can... This thing rocks
I bought it for travel purposes, but am now using it as my main squeeze instead of my two Phantom Pro 4 drones. A little disappointing that when you shoot RAW, the camera processor doesn't have quite enough power to compensate for lens barrel distortion, so if you are a fan of shooting RAW/HDR, expect that you will lose a little resolution when you correct the curved horizon in post production. This is a big deal to some, but to me it is a n... Show More

A good deal and new directions!
After a few months of research on expanding my land-based photography to include drone photography, I settled on the Mavic 2 Pro. B&H have various bundles and it takes some planning to decide which one is right. Certainly the Flymore kit is a critical addition for the batteries, bag, charger and spares at a reasonable price. I decided to add the refresh option, since I'm new to drones. It is important to register with FAA at the outset and also c... Show More

Many improvements but also a couple drawbacks
Compared to the original DJI Mavic Pro, the Zoom 2 has many improvements: too many to name here. I'll only address the perhaps unclear drawbacks: first, this drone requires all new batteries and accessories (none of the DJI Mavic Pro batteries/accessories fit) which is a bummer. Second, the Zoom 2 has only two color profiles and DJI removed Dlog from the feature list - its only available on new Mavic Pro Hasselblad (and original Mavic P... Show More

Incredible Drone
This drone is one of the most satisfying products Ive ever purchased. The ease of flying this and the features that allow the pilot to grab fancy shots makes this a perfect combination of professional and fun. The safety features give some piece of mind if you are a first time flyer and a little hesitant about trying some new things. The Fly More Combo Kit was a must for me. The extra batteries, the microSD, and the carrying case are a necessity.... Show More

Definitely a step up from the Mavic Pro Platinum!
I read some poor reviews from Mavic Pro owners who were disappointed in the Mavic 2 Pro. I own both and there is no comparison between the two in terms of image quality. The Mavic Pro Platinum was OK for video given the price point. The Mavic 2 Pro is awesome! Shooting Dlog-M in H.265 with 10 bit color is fantastic. There is some noticeable barrel distortion but thats an easy fix in post. It flies well. Easy to control. Very responsive in sport mode when you need to get into position quickly and smooth as butter in tripod mode. I prefer it to Inspire 1 (with original X3 camera).

Thank God for You Tube
First I havent had the opportunity to actually fly the unit yet but the written instructions are almost a waste. Go on You Tube theres a large number of instructional videos. Also updating the firm wear through the phone app is a waste of time - it takes way too long if it ever works at all. Down load the DJI assist program to your lap tap and do the updating through that. There are also a couple of other apps you can get for your phone like the B4U Fly app that gives you the restrict airspace around your area. I would definitely look at that if you plan to fly in a near a metro area.

Advanced features, Stable and an outstanding camera
There seems to be a bit of backlash on the Mavic 2 Pro online. I have not experienced any disappointment with this drone. I have had a number of DJIs and 3DRs and well this unit really is heavenly bliss compared to the past. Compact so you can easily take it with you. Fantastic battery life as well as fast recharge. Stabile and easy to fly. Camera is amazing. Have shot in full light and at dusk and have been impressed. I have not at this point had a chance to go through the added features like hyper lapse. Sadly I live in a NFZ so its hard to practice without a drive out of the zone.

So far so good
Living in Canada, Ive only had 1 chance to fly my Mavic 2 Pro. I took it out for about 10 minutes in mid 30s overcast weather with 25-30 MPH winds. Flew very well. I took 3 photos and Ive had some mixed feelings about the Hasselblad camera. The quality of the colors, etc.. is great but on 2 of the photos Im getting a mild fisheye curve of the horizon when its not centered in the pic. Im sure DJI will release a firmware upgrade to correct this or find a way for this to be corrected in Photoshop since they have a correction for video distortion in Premiere Pro.

EASY OUT OF THE BOX
As a current user of DJI (Phantom) the DJI Mavic was a breeze to pull out of the box and get in the air. The simplicity of the control panel was very refreshing. No more big box to pack around. The drone is much quieter than the Phantom. The zoom is going to be a great new feature. The size of the Mavic is unreal. Easily able to pack in my backpack when we hit the high country. Only downfall right now is the inability to get extra batteries. However, the flight time is much improved from the Phantom... As of right now following my first few flights I love it.

WOW!
Not only is this drone amazingly smooth with the footage it grabs, the clarity is stunning!! Flying is really fun and this is my first drone!! So far only birds seem to be the biggest worry. It warns you when obstacles are near minus power lines. The signal is very good and we use it in not great WiFi spots. Still works amazing!! I am so happy with it and I cannot wait to see what endless possibilities it will bring!! Check out Lifes Moments KM on Facebook, Instagram or visit lifesmomentskm.org to check it my work!! Drone work coming soon!!

Excellent camera and drone
Of all the prosumer drones being sold, bought this one for the camera. I desired cinematic aesthetics. So I needed to match the quality of a good lens with the intelligence of a software capable to give me manual controls over the camera. Thats when Hasselblad and DJI coupled perfectly. This is my first drone so i included the care refresh kit as an extra insurance. Im not dissapointed. Since day one Id been taking breathtaking footage. I love this. Dont forget the fly more combo. Very soon you realize that you need more air time.

Solid product
I'm switching from a Phantom 4 with an iPad mini monitor w/Hoodman sunshade. This set up is a nice improvement over my old system in many ways. The seamless pairing of the smart controller to Mavic is wonderful. Quick startup and flights are important to my work flow. The camera output is a clear improvement over the Phantom. However, the dumbing down of some features on the Mavic is unfortunate and almost a dealbreaker for a working professional - lack of ATTI flight mode, and lack of Course Lock are two examples.

Absolutely Love It
This is my first drone. I watched training videos and read the (whole) manual before flying it. Its been a lot of fun and the camera is very high quality. Obstacle avoidance is spot on. My only complaint is I wish you could move the gimbal horizontally without using the screen (touch and drag will work) only because its so easy to turn it far enough to capture the legs of the drone. But maybe with practice Ill find that isnt necessary or get used to how to do it right. Absolutely thrilled with my purchase.

Hardware Issue Out of the Box - DJI Mavic 2 Pro
Unfortunately, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro had a hardware issue right out of the box and I had to send it back to be exchanged. The accelerometer was giving a Data Error no matter how many times I calibrated. Upon researching, I learned this was an error shared by quite a few DJI Mavic 2 Pro users, and the B&H department for aerial equipment issues confirmed the unit would need to be replaced. I'm anxious to get the replacement and expect to be pleased with the DJI Mavic 2 Pro once I have a working unit.

Amazing Machine
I was hesitant to buy this drone mainly because of the flight restrictions built in. But it has not been an issue at all. Seems that as long as you are not in a No Fly Zone it will take off. The machine is amazing and definitely professional quality. The amount of adjustability and customization is mind boggling. It will take a lot of hours in the air to learn to get the most out of this machine. I highly recommend the drone and also the Smart Controller. I love not being tied to the phone!

Pay very attention to the problem on this drone!
Due to the newness of this models I found that this new drones has a bug in the altitude data that is saving the values totally wrong, by the time you use this drone and you need to take note to the altitude reached the value will appear completely wrong like this: 117493376.6 Note this is a new bug that DJI has knowledge and pay attention before you buy! follow the DJI forum to know if this bug was updated. https://forum.dji.com/thread-163684-1-1.html

Just buy one
This thing is incredible. I had never flown a drone before last week , it only took a few minutes to figure out the flight controls and have it up and running. Everything is super smooth and the pictures/videos are incredible even at night. Ive only scratched the surface of what this thing can do. On another positive note this thing is built like a tank which will be awesome for how hard i am on equipment. Its not the cheapest drone but it is a bad mammer jammer.

My first drone, WOW!
This drone is fun and easy to learn how to use. I like the smart controller because of the larger screen (rather than using my phone). I am not a tech savvy person, nor do I play video games, but this drone is a lot of fun. I still have to learn the photo and video part but I plan to use this to take some aerial shots of some forest land I own. It will be handy not having to traverse the land on foot and still get a good idea of the condition of the trees.

Nothing short of spectacular
This is an incredible piece of equipment! The technology is just beautiful when I see this drone do exactly what I command it to do, and even more so when it prevents me from making horrible mistakes. I'm proud to have purchased this marvelous unit and don't regret one penny of the cost. I've never enjoyed flying drones as much as I do this Mavic 2 Pro w/Smart Controller. I'm eager to buy its sister unit, the Mavic Pro Zoom to add to my growing fleet.

This is a jewel !!
The Mavic 2 Pro is a my 6th drone and my first compact. Now I can hike into wilderness areas and do some interesting filming. It's solid and holds it's own even in winds up to 22mph. The camera of course is top shelf and I plan to get my moneys worth out of it. The setup takes some time and patience but take your time, it's well worth it. The controller is worth every penny too. Give this one a try even if you are not a pro.
