We use these speakers with a laptop for presentations to a group. I tried to order the earlier model(that we already have)but they were no longer available. Needs both 3.5mm and USB connections.
Speakers are powered by USB, and reading the description you might easily think that the audio is also delivered by USB. Not so. The audio comes over a separate 3.5 mm connector. Added wire clutter and inconvenience. Sound quality is about as expected for the size and price. Not great but still adaquate for portable utility use. Would be 4-star but for the undisclosed need for a separate audio wire connection.

Great Portable Speakers
I use this on my Mac laptop when I want others to hear or when I am across the room from my computer. I also use it when I travel. I like the way it fits into the little bag that comes with it and I can take it with me wherever I go. I would like for it to be a little louder so I could turn it up when there is loud outside noise.

Never worked
These speakers never worked, similar to another person's experience. I am returning them and willing to try another set of speakers. The size is convenient but they obviously have to work!

Good experience
If you need speakers for your computer and you are not looking ones to hearing music, this is a good and cheap option. I use it for my foreign language lessons and communications.

Unexpected good quality sound
For the price I paid for these speakers, I am very pleased and impressed with the sound quality. Not for audiophiles but you get more bang for your buck with these two speakers.

Great little speakers
These are great little travel speakers for your laptop. Not much bigger than deck of playing cards and provide very good audio for the size.
