Powerful in a small package
Got these speakers for my basement studio. Connected both a tv and a air express for music and it works perfectly.

Best computer speakers!
I have gone through numerous speakers for my computer and always ended up with poor quality sound. I love to hear my music as I work and these speakers are it! The sound is great and not very expensive as well. You can never go wrong with Bose.

Good computers speakers with nice sound throughout full range. If you are looking for heavy vibrating bass or listen very loud, these are probably not for you.

Great sound, nice design
I watch DVD movies on my laptop and this is the perfect sound system. I wish it was a little louder sometimes, but the sound quality is terrific.

So Good It Made Me Cry
These speakers are what I would say perfect. Being for the amazing, clear quality for the price I paid, it can't get better. They blew my old JamBox out of the water! I was truly tearing up when I started some jams.

Banging for the bucks!
Banging for the bucks! ...& by that I mean, these speakers THUMP much harder than they hit your wallet! That could be a good or a bad thing, depending on your preference, environment & needs. At lower volumes, with interference from traffic through open windows... or whirring box fans in the Summer heat... I find that the Bass response is overkill. A MUST HAVE!!
I purchased these speakers to compliment the sound on a projector purchased from B&H - They were perfect for the job!! I now use them with my computer to listen to my playlists. They are handsome, just small enough with great sound. A great product (MUST HAVE) for your computer... And etc, etc....

Great Sounding Speaker for a Computer
Bose is a trusted name when it comes to sound quality. I purchased two sets of these speakers for two separate computer systems. They are a perfect size and were incredibly easy to set up.

My second pair
The first pair gives me great sound from my computer. The second is plugged into an Airport Express used to stream iTunes from my computer in the study to my kitchen. I think they produce excellent sound for the size and price.

What I Expected
My old Boston Acoustics computer sound system finally bit the dust so I needed a new speaker set up. Considering available space and requirements I only wanted a set of two quality speakers. These fit the bill. The on/off / volume switch is convenient and the speakers hooked up easily. While I probably don't have the best ear in the world I know what I like in my music and these speakers deliver. I feel they were a good value.

Quality as Usual
These replaced a set of much cheaper speakers with a subwoofer for an upgrade and did not disappoint. The sound was clear and filled the approximately 12 X12 room nicely.

better than expected
It has been a really long time since I had small computer speakers, and at that time they were so so, these are fantastic, much better than expected. I would buy these again in a heart beat.

Not recommended
After 1 year of light use the right speaker is scratching and is unusable. I always used Bose, but this one is disappointment.

All about that bass
I use these speakers in my editing suite. I replaced them with a different set of desktop speakers that just weren't living up to my standards anymore. These speakers provide a very well balanced low, mid and high range sound just as I expected from Bose. Perfect for editing videos, watching movies, or jamming to music. They were easy to setup on my Mac. The only thing I wished they had was a power indicator light so you know if the speakers are ON or OFF. The bass on them are perfect and not overpowered but there's enough to almost give you a theater like impression.

Awesome!
These speakers are just what the doctor ordered. They are compact, easy to hook up and in true Bose fashion sound fantastic. Yes you don't get a huge bass sound without a sub woofer, but for what these are and the price point you should just buy! Speaking of buying B&H is AWESOME!!! I live for the no tax and no shipping costs and everything is in time with tip top service. I buy all things electronic from B & H...even if I do Live in Chicago and have to wait a few days to receive items....totally worth it. Thanks B&H!!!!!

2nd look, these are good speakers
Not sure how to remove old reviews, but I was having a tough time trying to figure out why voices sounded like they were coming from a tunnel. The problem turned out to be due to my cable being in too far into the back of the speaker. For some reason when pushed in too much, it cuts out the left channel and makes both channels right. Part of the reason for that is I had to use my own cable because the one supplied is way too short. After all was working, it sounded pretty good.

Pretty good speakers
Pretty good speakers. Not as good as the more expensive Bose speakers, but plenty good enough for Pandora and YouTube listening. Have connected them to my iPhone and that works nicely too.

Garbage sound worse than generic speaker
This is what Bose sounds like? This is garbage. These speakers are a Ben Franklin and I've heard better sounds out of those el-cheapo speakers that used to come with the tower computers people bought in the 90's. It sounds like it's in a tunnel. It's not even CLOSE to a 2.1 system. I've made a terrible choice. Not only that, the wires are too short so if your PC is in the floor or hidden a little, the wires won't reach.

Great Speakers, killer deal.
I purchased the Bose Companion 2 speakers for use at my desk with my laptop. I've had experience with a previous model and they've only improved. The sound is rich and strong from such a small speaker, the bass could be more, but without a subwoofer, its deep and strong enough for what most people would use these speakers for. Additionally I enjoy the dual input, on the back of the main speaker, there is an aux line in for the computer and a second one for any other device. Great speakers, great price! Worth the time !

Good Sound, Nice Form-Factor
I wanted some speakers with decent sound quality that wouldn't be visually overwhelming sitting on my desk next to a new Mac Pro, and these nicely met both requirementsand at an attractive price, as well.
