Good compromise
I like base in my music and these are a great compromise on space vs sound. They sound good/great for their size without needing the space for a separate subwoofer.

Would not buy these again
I was very disappointed. I had had the series 2 for ten years until they died. While the mid range and high end are very clear and vibrant, the low end is horrible. The bass sounds like the equivalent of a drum machine as opposed to drums. It's all flat and muffled. It takes a pretty poor speaker to make Mavis Staples sound bad. These fo that.

Very happy I bought these!
I've been wanting speakers like this for years. A friend has a pair of these and they sound great at his house. I was using a bluetooth speaker that worked well, but constantly needed charging. I like these a lot, and they're easy to move around in my place if necessary. I like that I don't have to worry about keeping a battery charged. I can play music off of my phone or laptop. They have an understated style and do exactly what I want them to do!

Great sound from small speaker
Great sound, great price. I'm using them for my computer speakers. Could be your main speaker for a small home theater system. Most of the smaller ones have poor sound, like AM transistor radios. I wish they had a light so you could easily see if the power is on.

Highly recommended
I have these speakers hooked up to my 27 iMac and their sound output is amazing. Watching movies on my large screen Mac with these speakers rivals my large flat screen for both sound and picture. Very happy with them and highly recommend them.

Mediocre At Best...Absolutely No Volume
Unfortunately, although I prefer giving positive reviews, I have to jump aboard with the other negative reviewers. These really aren't worth the effort of writing a lengthy, detailed review. They simply do not produce the volume we expected. Overall excellent product
Excellent desktop speakers, great for watching movies or videos, or listening to music at lower volumes. Just don't expect them to rattle the windows. I do agree with other reviewers that there needs to be a small Power On light on the knob so you know that they are turned on, and where the volume setting is.

Quality Product that More than Meets Expectations
I needed quality speakers that would give me clear audio, particularly for speech (think on-line lectures, etc.) without the need to clutter my office with a separate woofer. Since I have a moderate hearing disability, I was amazed at how well these speakers met my requirements. It was simply a matter of getting the proper settings selected on my desktop computer and using the speakers. After a great deal of internet research and now experience with these speakers, I believe that these represent the best quality available at the price-point at which they sell.

Some of the Best Computer Speakers Out there
Great sound! Some of the best sound I have ever heard from computer speakers. I suggest getting a 10' audio cable-- the one that comes with the Bose is small, and will not give the user much of a choice for where the speakers are located. Getting a longer cable lets the user pick the speaker location.

Full sound from nice-looking speakers
I play these through my laptop at work, mainly streaming spotify through the stock sound card so no fancy sound system in play. I have the speakers abut three feet apart and about three feet from my chair, so the sound has a chance to spread out before it gets to me. I gave these computer speakers to my wife for her birthday. She listens to CD's constantly while working on her computer. We both find the general sound reproduction and the bass to be outstanding. A Best Buy. I recommend them without reservation.

For a hundred bucks this is very good sound. I like the fact that Bose intentionally manufactures speakers to obtain a natural un-enhanced sound.

A good buy for the money
This is the sound system for my computer and I love to play music while doing other things on the computer.. This little system is a good as the one I have on my other computer and it was much more expensive... I have never been disappointed with a Bose Product...

Excellant Speakers
I am using them with my laptop work computer,and my tablet.They take up a very small footprint on my desk and sounds incredible, listening to them now as I write this review.I have long known the reputation of Bose speakers since the early seventies and have been in love with them since.

Very satisfied
Just what I was looking for. Not high class stereo at this price of course, but very good sound indeed for listening from two small speakers that take up little room on the computer desk. My only complaint (which others have made) is the lack of a light to tell you whether you've remembered to turn the machine off. So let's give it between 4 and 5 stars.

Excellent sound for the price
I bought these speakers to replace a similarly-priced pair of Edifier speakers that developed a buzz after a couple of years. The sound is superior to my old speakers--a lot richer bass and good treble. My only complaint is the lack of an on-off light. Very good performance for the price.

Very nice for the price
Has great sound you would expect from Bose, ready right out of the box. Though it requires a little more volume consumption then you would ordinarily care to; still a good buy, and yes I would recommend it to anyone looking for quality sound at really good price.
