Completey suited my purpose
I was looking for a handy device to split the headphone output. The purpose: recording vocals at my home studio, while I monitor the tracks.I couldn't find a passive split solution, so went for a splitter with active circuit in it.HA-400 is very affordable piece of hardware. I like its sturdy construction. It is small to fit well in a small corner on my desk. 1 to 4 split is more than I needed. Individual volume control is really nice. The sound c... Show More

love this product!
not sure why I waited so long to get this powerful and affordable little gizmo. It works better than I expected. It makes my audio nice and loud and clean when I am trying to record voice overs. I only turn the volume up half way and it is almost too loud when using headphones. I am very pleased.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do!
I use mine to split signals between different sets of headphones for recording sessions.Tough little box, easy to use, simple & effective.Sounds good.I'm actually getting to like Behringer a lot. I dunno what ppl are *about. Yes they do mid priced product, but they do the job well & last.

excellent
Exactly as advertised. Very good volume. Tightly engineered. My only wish was that it had individual pan and mono switches for a split cue, but you wouldn't expect that in a $ headphone amp.

Does the job
Overall I am happy with my purchase and for infrequent use its great. I use it when I record rock bands and all of the players want to hear the recording. Before I used a passive headphone splitter but that was cumbersome and we had to take turns. Now all the members can listen to the playback at once and adjust the volume to their liking. Also, not all headphones have the same impedance and therefor different volumes at the same output level. My... Show More

Serves its purpose.
I use this as a no-frills way to have band practice in an apartment. I run all the instruments into a mixer and then send the mix to this amp. Each band member plugs their headphones in, and we rock out. Sure, it's not ideal, and no one has the ability to tailor their individual mix, but this thing only cost me $

More of a splitter than an amplifier.
Does exactly what I wanted it to. My EMU 1212m has no proper headphone out. So I split the emu analog outputs sending it to the HA 400. Sound great on Beyer DT770 250 ohm

Why Did I wait so long
Trying for a couple of years to take the sound straight from the cable box to headphones. Just couldn'nt get enough volume and wanted to avoid wearing hearing aids all evening. The HA-400 works perfectly for me. easy set up and plenty of volume.

HA-400 - Headphone Amplifier by Behringe
Works well, only complaint could be better on boosting from line level to headphone level, but works well.

Fantastic little headphone Amp
This little headphone Amp is ideal for watching TV or listening to music without bothering your spouse. I use it to watch TV in the bed at night. It is compact and efficient as well as sounds fantastic. The only complaint about the unit is that it does not have on/off switch.

Great for multi-phones, lacks for amp
The Behringer HA400 is perfect if you need a headphone splitter. However, I bought this to increase the headphone volume from my Traktor S4 controller, with minimal results. It's built well and affordable.

Great Little Amp packs a punch...
Great product that allows me to let other people sitting in on the sesssion hear whats being produced. My Studio is small and cramped but cozy and functional, this product helps even more and the sound it boosts is amazing.

wow terribly awful purchase.
Only real use would be as a headphone splitter. I bought these to power some AKG 271's I have for mixing and listening purposes. Let's just say the headphones sound better plugged into a ipod than plugging into the amp. The HA400 seems rather boomy and bassy and cloudy. not real clear. Also a lot of buzzing going on, kind of loud. The knobs take a lot of force to turn so without even testing this amp out you can already tell its made out of bad m... Show More

Does the Trick
I've had no problems with this amp. Even though in-expensive, it does what it needs to do!

Solid Amp
Does what it's supposed to do. Heavy, solid feel. Knobs feel good too. Only complaint is that it could have an on/off switch so I didn't have to yank the power after I use it every time.

HA-400-Mic/ Headphone Amp.
Excellent is all regarda that i can think of offhand. I cannot speak about professional uses. But it seems to be of excellent quality. I personally could use 1/8 or RCA inputs and outputs. However, the existing inputs and outputs would be better for many purposes, I suppose, and adapters are readily available.

Nice product!!!!
... The product was really nice when it got to my hosue and it was really nice. Nice and solid and the sound quality is cannot be beat with that price. Very nice headphone amplifier for the price. Get it.

Excellent for the price.
Before I bought this amplifier, I would have to connect my headphones (Sennheiser HD201 and eH350) to my desktop speaker's headphone output each time I wanted to use them (late at night, for example). In order to get roughly the same listening volume through my headphones, I'd have to really crank up the volume knob on my speakers (they take a lot of power compared to your typical earbuds). With the HA400, I can keep my headphones and speakers co... Show More

We use about 20 of these!
We are an over the air TV station, and we use about 20 or so of these to control the audio levels of various outgoing feeds. The great thing about them is they are so cheap; but so reliable. (We have never had one go bad on us!)

Great price and great product
I have only had this for a few days but it is working wonderfully. I have a Sony 52 HDTV and live in an apartment. We can not have the sound too loud so when watching movies or sporting events we use my receives headphone output and plug our headsets into the Headphone Amp and we can each adjust the sound level to our personal preference. Great sound quality!

Great deal on a great product!!
I bought 4 amps that have been perfect for our classrooms. We use them everyday and the students love to control their own volume. This product has been dependable at half the cost of similar products. Thank you!!

Peace in the car!
I used this amp to distribute DVD player audio to 4 headphones for my 4 kids in the car. It's been wonderful having them quiet and calm in the car while we drive 1-2 hours to visit their grandparents. They love having their own volume controls and we love having our own music without competing with their movie!
