Works Great! Very Handy Tool

Aug 8, 2016

I was having a lot of hum and RF noise problems while playing my Fender Strat and I didn't want to buy and install humbucking pickups (or rewire my home's ac). Using this pedal has greatly reduced the noise problem. I do set the Threshold Level nearly all the way to the left and the Decay to about the 9 o'clock position. I would recommend purchasing the ac adapter for the pedal as I think this pedal would go through batteries quickly. Have not tested it out in a live setting yet but will have that opportunity later.

Excellent

This is an excellent unit. It does exactly what it says. I use it as a noise gate for instruments with noisy pickups like single coil pickups and some piezos, mostly to eliminate 60Hz hum when not playing.

Make it Quiet!!

I use the NR300 after a dyna compressor, a tc electronics spark boost pedal, a mxr tube overdrive and hardwire tl2 distortion...the nr3000 handles all the noise from these pedals like a champ. What i like is the ease of use...basically plug and chug. You dial in how you want the gate to close to your taste.I wish the pedal was smaller...I am personally getting into the MXR pedal size for my board. Its plastic but tough.

Don't judge a Behringer by its plastic

I use it for casual playing and jams. It reduced noise very well. Plastic case is well made and should last a long time unless you use it for trap shooting, a wheel chock, or a boat anchor. Used as pedal, it should last.

Works as Advertised

As a noise reducer pedal,it does what it's supposed to do.Nothing fancy,It tames the hum on my single coil pickups considerably. I also use it to quiet a stick in the soundhole acoustic guitar pickup. Like the name says, it a noise reducer not eliminator,so it won't get rid of noise completely, but it helps a lot.

Works as well as any out there, for a fraction of the co$t. If you're having problems with it, first you must understand how gates and noise reducers work. Do the research and apply to your specific rig -- experiment. I use several different guitars and must tweak for each, though this process is true for any brand of noise reduction pedal. The Behringer is (sturdy) plastic but as others have said, you don't stomp it. Every pedalboard should have one!

good product. easy to use and adjust. does just what it says it does. reduces noise. basically acts as a gate to cut off unwanted white noise or fizz. great price from B & H too! Only reason i gave it 4 out of 5 is because its plastic. However, how often do you really step on a noise reduction pedal?
