If you're going to bother getting an iPad Pro, you might as well splurge for the pencil as well! Connecting it is easy, as is charging and using it. I bought the Pro to do graphics work, mostly in Procreate, and the pencil is the perfect companion. The only downside for me is that the pencil is very smooth and tends to slip out of my hands. I have seen many YouTube videos where people have purchased a sleeve of some sort for the pencil to alleviate this issue.

Bought the pencil for myself. At first was skeptical with a 100 dollar price point. But it definitely worth every penny. One of the only pencils on the market with tilt sensitivity.

Useful accessory
It's very useful accessory for iPad. I use it for writing down the lectures and doing some exercise in electron books. It make studying process more convenient. Also it good tool for working on projects in GarageBand (especially with patterns on timelines)

Love the pencil, however.
I really like the apple pencil. It's easy to use and fun However, I wish there was a better indication with regards to the charge level, beyond checking the widgets on my Ipad

Must have for the artistically inclined.
Works great! Pressure sensitivity translates to a more natural feel when using with art apps such as Procreate and photography apps. Makes working on smaller size tablets much easier as well.

Fun!
The Apple Pencil is fun to use on the iPad Pro, and it works well! It is very responsive and fun to draw with. You can also use it as a stylus. B&H shipping and service was great!

Absolute MUST HAVE for artists.
Drawing on the iPad Pro with this pencil is absolutely phenomenal. If you're in the business of making designs for customers, these two things paired together will save you hours and hours of work!

Not recommended unless you NEED pen input.
The pencil is cool and the input is very responsive, but I seriously doubt if I'll ever use it. If I had the iPad for use at work, it might be great for taking notes, but for home use... Keep in mind, there is nowhere to store the pend it when using the basic Smart Cover, so it will never be nearby when needed. Great new opportunities provided by the iPad pencil.
I wasn't sure it was worth spending the money for a glorified stylus, but it was worth it. I have arthritis, and no longer have the manual dexterity I used to have. The pencil makes it a lot easier, and I am enjoying the ability to write and draw on my iPad Pro. I would be even happier if it was not so expensive.....

Fun accessory
Love the pencil. Great for drawing on the screen. The cap sometimes comes off which is annoying but if you're careful it won't be a problem.

The best stylus I have used so far.
A very good product from apple. This is the best stylus I have used so far. I have used Wacom Intuos before and I can say that the apple pencil, in terms of sensitivity, is in par with the Wacom stylus. My only concern is the ergonomics of the pencil. It is very slippery and glides on the ipad. Apart from these minor issues, it is a great product and a great deal from apple.

Put a grip on it.
Put a grip on the pencil from a mechanical pencil, makes it easier to hold. Didn't use it as much as I though I would be. Need better apps to work with it. Overall, like the precision and fineness I get with the tip. Don't like the charging method though.

Incredible tool for artists
I use the pencil to draw storyboards, sketches and also make notes with my iPad Pro and it is amazing. I love how sensitive to pressure, movement and stroke it is, it doesn't feel much different from using a real pencil!

I'm a believer.
I'd used every stylus for the iPad I could but, but none of them could truly duplicate the sensation of drawing with a pencil. I finally decided to try the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil before giving up on tablets forever. Wow. The Apple Pencil is incredibly responsive. It feels very natural in hand and I almost forget it's a stylus. The only thing I would change is adding an eraser. That's it. It totally lives up to the hype. Very happy with my purchase.

amazing lines but some small oversights
The Apple pencil is amazing for the lines it produces. I have tried many companies' stylus on the ipad, and this is far and away the best. It feels like a pencil and writes like one. But, as many others comment, Apple overlooked the need to attach the pencil and to keep track of the top while the pencil charges. They also overlooked the need to turn it off when it is not in use.
