Still Holds Together
We bought these headphones in 2009 and they have been used frequently by drummers in the studio so the build quality is more than fine. The sound quality is actually pretty bad when you compare these to hifi-headphones and i would be happy to pay the double price for a better sounding headphones. But i do I think they sound exactly as bad as the more expensive competitors. The price makes them a bargain. The best sounding alternative would be to buy some good sounding in-ear phones and put some builders hearing protection on top.

Headphone Love
I bought these headphones for a youth club recording studio as all previous pairs of cans had fallen apart. I wasn't expecting much as these are so cheap but they are incredible. Just finished recording drums for an album and the drummer says they are the best set of headphones he has used for recording extremely comfortable and very little bleed from them too. Not a single complaint or irritation about the comfort and we were doing 12 hour ... Show More

You get what you paid for.
With a price like that you can't really have high expectations. However I've been pleasantly surprised. This is really decent and will be just fine for your drummer studio sessions.

Great tracking headphones
While searching for tracking head phones i came across the t.bone HD 990D.While these head phones certainly are not the best sounding head phones around they are excellent for recording with. They completely block out any external noise in a loud environment and if you are recording you can have a click playing in your ears without worrying about it spilling into a mic.Great for the price.Solid build too.

Great value
Fantastic value for money. With these kind of drumming headphones, the overall sound quality and clarity is of course far from the best. But actually, I've also tried the much more expensive drumming headphones from Vic Firth, and the sound quality is basically the same! They sure cancel plenty of noise when recording, more than enough for most cases. No need for extra ear protection with these. A must-have!

Good one.
These headphones have quite a good detalisation if you are not a professional working with sound every day. For it's price it is doing well playing music with my phone or with an electric drum set I have. A good peace of gear for you if you don't have another 100 euro to buy something professional.

The best headphones set.
This set is in my opinion a great set. I feel like I m isolated from the environment surrounding me. When I am playing on my electronic drum kit, it gives me a great isolation from the sound produced from the pads. I am using this set for all the purposes related with sound. I can feel a great quality in the sound reaching my ears, allowing me listening all the single details. The are very comfortable in my ears. I can spend a whole day with thes... Show More

T-bone 990D headphones
I use these for drum recording, I used to suffer with spill of the click track getting into the overhead mics on my kit, since I have been using these I have not had any problems and can have a much louder mix in my headphones than I could before, the sound quality is ok but not great compared to most other headphones, they handle enough power but don't like to be driven too hard, my only other issue with them is they are a little un comfortable ... Great for band rehearsal!
Pretty comfortable, nice long coiled cord, good noise cancellation and a sound that isn't great, but definitely adequate for rehearsal. Very affordable and a lot of bang for the buck! Highly recommended!

Good price
I use them to practice guitar at home and they do very well the job! What i most like its that they provide a total isolation of ambient noise. I use them to record voices rolling the backing track in the headphone and so the voice microphone does not capture the backing track. It has a 1.4 m long coiled cable with a 3,5mm plug, that comes with a 6.3 mm screwable jack plug attached wich alows to connect them to almost every device. The head strap... Show More

Average phones
I bought these for use while drumming and practising. It's difficult to hear the sound from your phones when you want to drum at the same time. I thought these phones would have a good sound quality, isolation and comfort. After a couple of months of testing i still wasn't satisfied with the quality. The sound sounds flat and sharp, i couldn't get a good sound. The isolation was not good enough so i had to turn the level up in order to hear ... Show More

This is a great(CHEAP!!) Pair of headphones, it's great for practicing drums and for recording drums when you need a strong or medium listening level but still want to cancel out the acoustic sounds from around the recording room. This is better than the Vic Firth model that is suppose to di the same job.

Don't be a cheapskate!
I tried to talk my drummer out of buying these headphones but no, he didn't want to spend the extra money on a pair of decent ones. Well, they lasted for a couple of months before they got their final resting place in the dumpster where they belong. He now has real ones of that brand you're thinking about right now. Get those instead.

Good phones for recording drums
I've had these phones for while and they've been pretty good so far, especially with recording drums and actually they are meant for it. Actually the only bad thing is that if you try to record guitars or bass or vocals and put these phones on, you can't hear what you're playing. Anyway, good phones for recording drums. :)

Superb quality!
Very very good quality for the price. Honestly these are really good. I got these along with my electic drums. I didnt belive much when I got them, but when I tried them on and listened to music I was stunned. Maybe I'm not with a amazing super professional ear, but for my ears they sounded very good. Also they don't seem to break easily.

Nice headphones!
The T.bone HD-990's are a very nice headphones for the price. They don't look cheap and nasty and the only weak points I can see that are the head strap adjusters. For my drummer they proved to have good power handling and did not distort when turned up to higher volumes. They were excellent at isolating the noise both form external sources and from themselves to nearby mics. They're confortable. However, the ears are a little tight, not a ba... Show More

Horrible sound
They cancel out the noise like more expensive phones do. However the sound coming out of these are horrible. Any earbuds would be better, and they hurt to wear... really hurt.

Not so good
Bought this for their isolation quality. But the sound quality was really poor so I never use them at all exept when I am building on my house and listen to some music doing that. Not even good for drummers in my opinion.

Nice sound
Great sound for the money but find I cant wear them for very long before they start to hurt my ears - my head is of normal size (other than ego) but I do find they close pretty tightly.

These are great for drummers as they are basically ear defenders with speakers in them. They are not the highest quality headphones around when it comes to sound but more than acceptable for the price. I own a couple of pairs and have been chucking them around for a couple of years now and they still work fine. The price point and the sound isolation I would say are the two best features of these headphones so I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to use some low price headphones for use in a loud enviroment.

more suitable for juniors
The lead is great, the headband has a nice spring to it to ensure they stay on your head. You can easily adjust the headband to position the cans over your ear, the sound is fine for monitoring in loud environments. The whole package is let down by the ear pads, they're too thin to form a seal around your ear allowing sound to leak in, it also means your pinnae is stuck against the protective grill which after a very short while starts to hur... Small headphones
Very good noise cancelling abilities. Unfortunately not too good sound quality - with same price, no-cancellation will give definitely better result. But depends on purpose and place of use. Daily news listening and BGM - good enough. For me - comfort was bad- As very small speaker area and weird material inside (tickling feel all the time). Ear overheated quite quickly. Pressure was ok and it held well over head. On lady's head - it was ok for couple of hours, but for me (i am not a goliath and well under 100kg) too small.
