Worth the wait. The hype is real.
Preordered mine in early November and it was delivered Dec 26th. Looks and feels very good on A7iii. Images so far are amazing. This is my first GM lens. Im in northern Dallas with a lot of light pollution and I was still able to shoot Orions belt through a break in the overcast skies. As expected its razor sharp. I cant wait to shoot the Milky Way GC this summer with this awesome lens.

If you like Sony & 24mm
This lens is excellent. Clarity,sharpness,AF speed,light weight. If you shoot Sony and like 24mm just buy this and stop checking online photo forums. Sigma has size & AF issues,Batis is great but not as crisp wide open,Loxia is manual. Samyang is a QC gamble. This lens is priced a little high I think (all Sony is) but if you shoot 24mm a lot or for work,this is the best option.

It is as good as advertised...
I know there has been a lot of hype around this lens and I wasn't sure if it would be a dramatic upgrade from the Zeiss 25mm f2.0... It is without a doubt the best wide angle E-mount lens that money can buy. Fantastic rendering and great with the a9 or a7III. Perfect for video and photos. If you are up in the air between the two, this is the lens to buy.

Sony so worth it
I sold my whole Nikon kit: D5, 10 prime lenses + one zoom, and got the Sony A7R4. This was the second lens I got for it, after the 85 f/1.4 G Master. Both of these lenses are great. The 85 is bigger + heavier than my Nikon 85 1.4G, but this 24 G master is lighter weight than the 24 f/1.4 G from Nikon. I like a 24mm for being in the middle of it all.

Come on Sony..
Sharpness is excellent! But there is either a problem with QC or engineering at Sony because the lens makes a variety of noises when being operated in the various video/photo modes of my a7Riii.. I love the focal length, sharpness, ergo, but come on Sony, at this price point and for a GM lens, you really have to do better. Disappointed.

WOW!
My first GM series lens. Very sharp, even wide open. Corners are sharp too. Very bright. I love the aperture with de-click option. Build quality is excellent. It feels really good in your hands. Just about as perfect a 24mm f1.4 can possibly be. Only down side is the price is a bit high compared to Sigma. This one is a keeper for me!

one of the most versitile lenses ever
Picked this up a few months back, and yep.. It's as good as everyone makes it out to be. Fast and reliable AF, great for video and manual focus as well. This lens can handle wide shots and close portraits with ease.. I find that it has been on my camera more than I expected it to be. No longer feel the need for the 16-35mm

Wow, worth the wait.
For the past 6 months the 16-35 GM has been the primary lens on my A7R3 as a walk around combination. The 24mm GM finally arrived after a 3 month wait and it hasnt been off my camera. Its so light and I love the aperture ring on the lens(like on my 85mm GM) and the sharpness of the images are fantastic. Good job Sony!

Best 24mm on the market
Not sure what to say that hasnt already been said. This is an amazing wide angle lens, no one would argue otherwise. Its very rare the photo/video community agrees on a best anything, but this is the best 24mm and everyone seems to universally love it. That alone says more than any review ever could.

Deadly Sharp and Buttery Smooth
Sharp as the devil himself with buttery, delicious bokeh. Couple that with the moderately wide focal length and you have yourself a truly amazing low-light environmental portrait lens. It's also fairly small and feels incredibly well-made. Not cheap, but I love it so hard. I bet you will too.

Outstanding lens
I bought this lens for use on a backpack trip in the mountains . I wanted a wide angle to capture the whole scene and it did that beautifully while being relatively light-weight. The results are sharp and beautiful. Im so thankful to have this lens. It was a joy to use and let me be creative.

The perfect lens
I debated between this and the 16-35 GM and am pleased with my decision. Since getting this lens it has rarely left the camera, it may be the most versatile lens I've used. It can handle portraits and wides both beautifully. Very sharp, focus is great for video as well.

Great lense
This is overall a great lense. Supper sharp image, lightweight, high building quality, the aperture ring is supper helpful and enjoy to use it. Large aperture helps you express your subject very clearly. Give a lot of opportunity to taking photos at night. Love it.

Super sharp!
Sharp, sharp, sharp and bright! I bought this lens because of Allyn Wallaces rave review of it for Astro. But meanwhile Ive been using it for walking around street photography where it is a little wide, but still excels. Especially at night. Buy it, you wont regret it.

A bit pricey but it's GM, sharp, and is nearly perfect.
I wasn't sure about making this purchase since I already own the Sony 16-35 f/2.8 GM, but this thing is a beast. Sharpness is fantastic corner to corner at nearly all apertures, and bokeh is creamy. Great lens for recording video and interviews.

sharp and beautiful color rendition
It is sharper than Sigma 24mm and Nikon 24mm, and ZE 25mm f2, and bit better than Batis 25mm. Color rendition is similar to Batis 25mm. After testing with these indoor test, I feel it is best ever 24mm in the market for mirrorless camera.

G-Master
G-Master 24mm What more is else there to say? This lens is probably the best for the Sony 7iii (depending on your needs). Love this lens. Stays on my camera majority of the time. Going to get a 55mm to compliment this lens tighter shots.

Sooo sharp and fast!
Love this 24mm lens for a wide range of shooting conditions. It excels in low light and has been amazing when for video paired w/ A7iii on a DJI Ronin-S. I split time between this lens an 24-105mm when I need the extra reach.

Amazing results
This lens is amazing. The results at f1.4 are excellent. I have a sony 24-105mm so I was on the fence about getting another lens at the 24mm focal length. Let me just save you the hassle. Just get the lens. It's that good.

Well worth the wait!
Love it, well worth the wait... I am by no means professional. I bought this lens for shallow depth and Astrophotography. I have attached a couple pics from my night shots here in the North East. I love this thing!

Incredible lens
Beautiful, well balanced lens for my A7R III body. Incredible sharpness on the subject and amazing bokeh depending on your aperture setting. Looking forward to both landscape and unique portraits with this lens.

Yep, its all that.
A stand out amongst my other native glass. Its getting as much time as my beloved 55 1.8 lens, and checks many of the same boxes but its faster and had better ergonomics. What isnt to like? Price? Cry once.

Perfection!
This is my second G master lens in addition to my 24-70 2.8 GM. The bokeh and qualify of this lens is amazing. Quite a bit lighter than the 24-70 so its ideal for walking around for point and shoot also!

Excellent lens for Portrait and Astrophotography
This lens is out of my expectation and its excellent performance in landscape, environmental figure portrait and astrophotography surprises me. I would say it is the best 24mm lens in the E-mount system.
