Feels and perform great

It has the same nice metal construction including also a metal mount as other NEX lenses, it has a rubber grip wich also feels nice, when zooming lens don't rotate and they included the lens hood... however I can't figure out why it isn't a petal hood, if you think about it ring does not rotate and it could be done. One downside is that is f6.3 on the tele side at 210mm, while other lenses are f5.6 at 200mm, you will only have f5.6 at 170-175mm o... Show Morer so. About the quality is not tacking sharp but it's pretty good, is definitely better than the 16mm and than the 18-55mm (when all used wide open). Sharpness at the corners are still maintained to certain degree and contrast with the lens is ok. I can say that this lens not that difficult to hold it and weight remains comfortable even with the lens extended, holding with only one hand is possible, however a 2 hand aproach gives more stabilization. In fact OSS works pretty well with the lens, on the 210mm side you can see the difference with/without stabilization each time you half press the shutter (that's when OSS is activated). Finally is nice that AF performs as expected, with focusing times arround 1-2 seconds it doesn't feel that is doing contrast detection and make it usable in most circumstances.Show Less
