I am at the airport looking through videos and photos I took with this camera over the past 12 days in Peru. I am just blown away. The autofocus, low light, battery life, usability of this camera are incredible. 1 battery would last me two days on average. The camera is rugged. I was backpacking for 5 days in the mountains and jungle and I had zero issues. The customization is so nice for video/photo shooters. The custom buttons can be customized... Show More

GREAT CAMERA for the Price Point - Decent Lens.
First, TO THE ONE STAR REVIEWS: we are rating the CAMERA not the company. Yes it doesn't come with a battery charger. They could add $90 to the price and add one, or let you choose your own. B&H has some great alternate battery charges. The camera is a very nice for the price point and is especially great if you only have one camera for both still and video. The Sony stock 3.5-5.6/28-70mm lens is obviously not the quality of a G Master, but is a ... Show More

BEST first full frame camera
I upgraded from a Canon SL1 and man it is a huge upgrade. Bumping ISO up to 2000 will give you even amazing images with very little noise. The 28-70mm lens exceeded my expectations. It performs really well and cant beat it at $200 for an add on. I can see myself using this lens often, only thing to note is it does not have a wide aperture, so isn't great for bokeh but still does real good. 100% would recommend

What a camera should be in an affordable package!
Wow. This thing is amazing. The only thing I would have wished for would have been a 30mp sensor for that last little bit extra when you need it. I'm switching from Canon and like using my Sigma 150-600 C on this body. My other lenses adapt pretty good but I can easily see me getting native Sony or more Sigma glass in the near future. I got it and the FE 85 1.8 lens and that combo is deadly! Fast, accurate and sharp as a razor! Did I mention it w... Show More

Low light monster
Amazing photo and video quality. I switched from Canon crop to Sony full frame. This camera is fast in any lighting situation. I love the look and feel of this camera. The size is small which makes you not look like you're carrying an expensive piece of equipment. Way to go Sony, you won me over. Mirrorless is the way to go.

Very Good All-Purpose Camera
The A7III filled two unique and specific needs I had at once. I spend most of my photography time capturing sports, but most of my photography income comes from shooting non-sporting live events like weddings and corporate gatherings. I definitely would use a camera like the A9 to its fullest, but the cost of it would be unjustifiable to my accountant (and my wife). Enter the A7III. The A7III's high ISO capability make it a great choice for my we... Show More

Sold my full frame Nikon for this...
Sold my Nikon D750 for this camera. It beats that camera in many ways, but also has it's cons. Nikon's low-light performance has been great since the D700 (compared to Canon at that time), over the years that gap has narrowed. I have heard great things about Sony's A7S cameras ISO performance, and this A7III has exceeded my expectations. I shot some samples at night at ISO 16,000 and got very, very usable photos. You must try it for yourself. I ... Show More

Excellent camera if you don't wear glasses
It's a great camera but sort of a downgrade from my A7. I can see more of the image in the A7 viewfinder than the A7 III viewfinder. All the settings are a bit overwellming. Studying the help book and U tube helps. Actually it takes great photos and movies with the factory settings out of the box. It is a good investment. It has made my non F2.8 lens now take great pictures. For example, my f3.5-6.3/24/240 is really taking great pictures with the... Show More

Perfect Combination of Performance and Value!!
I'm loving this unit so far. I also own the original A7S and A7SII this version is far more refined. The menus offers an extreme array of options and customization. The images are crisp and robust, especially when shooting raw. The 4K video image is outstanding, even in low light up to 12,800 iso. Finally, the image stabilization is also significantly better than on previous models. Overall, a major step forward in mirrorless camera development.

Ex-Canon user says: Solid Upgrade from the A7ii
I am a post-Canon user. Canon 6D -- Sony A7ii -- Sony A7iii. Pros: - It's smaller than any full frame Canon/Nikon. Sure, it's just as long as any Canon/Nikon if you attach a lens. However, the height and width is smaller; making it much easier to fit into my bag. "The best camera is the one you have with you." This is definitely better than a smartphone camera. (This is the primary reason I switched; judge me if you like.) - Eye-tracking AF is c... Show More

The Future of Photography
This camera is everything that it claims to be. At twice the price the camera would still be attractive, clean 4k video in full frame and super 35, 120 fps HD slow motion at a decent bit rate, log profiles available in all video modes, unrivaled low light performance should I go on? Blazing fast continuous focus, unrivaled eye autofocus, a battery that last a full day of shooting, over 14 stops of dynamic range. The Bad? There are some, but no ... Show More

Best all around camera
The best over all camera Ive used. With the my menu it help making the menus a little easier to handle but once you get use to the menus it becomes a non issue. There is really nothing to complain about. People complain about silent/electronic shooting but there is only one camera that can do this well and thats the a9 but its also double the price. This camera will not disappoint.

Sets the new standard in full frame digital
Coming from the A6000 and the first generation A7, the A7iii sets *the standard* in what you can and should expect from digital full frame mirrorless cameras in 2018. Sony must have surely made a devil's agreement to get the autofocus system up to this incredible speed, and 10FPS on a full-frame sensor... it blows my mind. Great for slo-mo and timelapse. Great for slog and color grading. Great for 4k. Very Adaptable
I wanted a lighter weight camera that would be great for travel. I normally use the Canon Full Frames for my event photography, and have played around with Sony Alpha's in store before. I do find the menu to be a bit tedious, but the Alpha A7 III is feature laden, and the ease of use is dummy proof.
