Priced right and easy to install
Our Dell Inspiron 17 5767 laptop had a one T HD and booted/ran slow. I cloned the old drive onto the 860 EVO, opened the laptop and swapped the HD for the SSD. Now it runs faster. I only had one little screw left over after closing the case, success.

Easy to install
Easy to install, works as expected & good warranty period. Samsung's data migration tool (which you have download from their website & use before you install the drive) was very easy to use

Works Great!
I'm not a computer technology related person. I only installed the drive as backup storage, so, that may have made the installation easier. I followed a YouTube video. I installed it in a Dell desktop computer. It was going to be quite difficult to get the SSD into a drive bay, so, I Velcroed it to another SSD that I had already Velcroed to a solid object inside the computer. Wow, what a speed increase! Replacing an older mechanical drive with a Samsung 500GB 860 EVO SATA III 2.5 Internal SSD drive was a huge performance improvement. Spend the money and just do it.

Using to capture and edit in 4K
Got two of these to use in my Odyssey 7Q 4K recorder, and then used it directly for editing. Works great!

Works great, easy to install!
Had a no name brand fail within 6 months while this SSD has been very stable so far, I don't expect to have any issues with it. Definitely go with name brand for important tech like this.

Finally have the space I need
Not sure why I didn't do this before, but I kept running out of space on my laptop. Upgrading was simple and fast using Samsung's migration tool.. The Samsung SSD I replaced with this worked flawlessly so I hope this one does too.. So far so good!!

Imaged and replaced old disk without a hitch!
I replaced a standard 500 GB rotating disk with this 500 GB SSD. The hard disk contained Ubuntu Linux 18.04 and an older Windows XP-64 bit OS. I imaged the original disk with Clonezilla and transferred the image to the Samsung drive with no errors whatever. I already have a Samsung 250 GB drive in the machine with Windows 7 as the primary OS, and it's been going for five years without a problem. I suspect this 500 GB disk will perform the same. What's funny--the older 250 GB SSD cost more than this 500 GB SSD.

Updated 2012 MacBook Pro with Samsung SSD drive and couldnt be happier. Installation was a breeze and my older, slow laptop is buzzing along. Would highly recommend this product.

Super Swift
I love these SSD's. They're small, easy to handle and install. Love all that capacity, and I love the speedy backups. I now have two of these in a high speed box, using one for photos, one for docs. I have one more in an another external enclosure, that is my backup. When I do a backup of each drive, they just zip on through it, like I've never been able to do before (using Super Duper software). Thanks, Samsung, for all the open time you've added to my day!

Great for Video Capture
The EVO 1 TB drive is a cost effective way to capture video when used with an Atomos Ninja V, for example. It will hold up to 7 hours of HD and 1.5 hours of UHD from a Sony A7 (4,2,2, 8-bit). Although intended for internal use, the EVO can be mounted in an inexpensive module which fits the Ninja.

Great addition to my computer
I built a custom machine and this is the perfect addition to add more space while keeping the speed. Very fast load and save times and lots of space to hold the big video files. Ill probably be buying another one soon.

First SSD
The instructions are pretty sparse. I got my best information from YouTube. Even then. I installed the drive upside down. Got it in the correct way, and it works like a charm. Did work miracles, but it did speed boot up, faster than my desktop which has 12 Ghz. I performed a clean install of Windows 10 rather that use Samsungs app. Since my laptop is for primarily for travel, it was no problem to re-install software that was on the old drive.

Big storage upgrade for my wifes laptop
My wifes Lenovo t460s was out of space on the original 512G SSD. I purchased this Samsung 2TB drive and was able to clone it using Samsungs cloning software. Now she has plenty of room for her photos! I did have to purchase an external enclosure for this drive in order to do the cloning as her latop only has one SSD slot.

Driver DOA
I installed the drive and it failed immediately. I installed it more than 30 days after purchase, so had to go through the Samsung return process which is a slow, painful process.

Not as fast as expected
I bought this to speed up working on photos in Adobe Lightroom based on performance benchmarks performed by PCWorld. However, I have not seen an improvement over a spinning drive (which may be due to SATA III limitations).
