Great little component
My CD/DVD player lacks a headphone connection but I wanted to listen to it directly, so I connected an RCA-to-stereo cable from the player to the Rolls' input and my headphones to its output - voila, I can listen to CD's directly and adjust the volume as needed. The audio comes through beautifully.

For anyone using high quality headphones and audio equipment, this is the volume control you have been looking for.
