Great lens! Love the low light capability
This is a great lens. I'm using it for video and stills. Works great on interviews, keeping the subject sharp with a nice blur to the background. Also has works great outdoors. I've taken some amazing photos in my wildflower garden with this lens.

the quality is amazing great for fairly wide shots. you can't get super wide shots but its wide enough!! its amazing its auto focus is pretty fast and its a great sharp low light lens!! one of my favorite lenses!

Excellent lens
This is my first prime lens and I am hooked! I received the Lumix G 25mm for free from B&H as part of a Panasonic G7 bundle. This lens used with the G7 creates beautiful shots with great depth of field or wide angle views. The auto focus is a little slow, but it's not a big issue since I use manual focus most of the time. Great Little Prime
Was torn between this and the Olympic, but everything I've seen from this lens has been great. Haven't tried the Olympic but I feel like I made the right decision in buying this one.

Interesting lens......
This is a very interesting lens. I have not yet used it outdoors so I can't comment on flare resistance. Indoors, I find it to be very slightly sharper wide open as is my M.Zuiko 14-42mm II R kit zoom lens is at 25mm and f/4.4 (a pretty good kit lens). At the same aperture and focal length, the Panny is noticeably sharper in the corners, not so much in the center. Bloody good value mate!
I'm from Australia and got this beauty for only AU$$delivered, and its a corker!I also have the Olympus 25mm 1.8 for MFT. I like the Oly one better for its shape and its slightly more compact. Haven't closely checked the IQ but on face value (only taken a few shots on the Lumix) they seem the same. Nice bokeh on both of them if you get close to the supject. Standard prime lens
I picked up an Olympus E-M10, I am getting to an age where lugging around my full frame Canon with an assortment of lenses is getting to be tiresome. Awesome Lens
Great prime lens for the value. Fast, sharp, nice boke. Love this lens for portraits. Better than the kit 14-42mm lens that comes with the Panny cameras. Focus ring feels butter smooth for manual focus and the mount is metal not plastic like the kit lens.

Nice lens
The Lumix G 25mm f/1.7 is a really nice lens. It's my first prime lens for my Lumix G7 camera, and I am enjoying using it. The bokeh is really smooth and nicely defocuses the background. Low light shooting is easier with this lens than with my 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6. Yes, the exterior is made of plastic (with a metal lens mount) but the lens feels sturdy and well made. It also comes with a lens hood, which is a nice extra. The lens can accept threaded filters (although I don't recall which size). Overall, a nice lens purchase that I'm happy with.

Good for interior low light, super price
I prefer this lens to the pana 14mm 2.5 for interior photos Fast and got it super cheap during the november sale but I will need to do tests to confirm/infirm for flares and halo when pointing directly to light sources... Otherwise it is sharp and fun for low light portraits... Use it on olympus m5-ii so stabilization is well taken care of

This lens is sharp wild open
I use this lens with the Olympus PM2, to take some portrait of my daughter for testing. At f1.7 image is sharp in the middle, and not bad in border area. I use eye detect focusing and it nails the eye in focus. From f2.8 onward detail and very sharp all over the picture, I can say it's almost as good as my Nikon D610 with 50mm lens. I am very happy with this lens and will use it for low light and portrait photography.

The mount is metal and, like many good modern lenses, it focuses with its front and back elements remaining stationary. Early photos indicate very good photo quality, though I should put a tripod in the back yard and do some comparisons. And of course it's fast. While not compact compared to other micro four thirds lenses in the range from 12 to 60 mm, it's lightweight (body is probably largely plastic) and auto focuses quickly on my Olympus OM-D... Very Fine Lens
This is a very fine little lens. I've used it stopped down and wide open and its images are sharp and clean every time, good color and contrast. A very nice lens that I would recommend to anyone.

Terrific value for nifty-fifty lens
B&H had it on sale for extremely good price. Much brighter than kit zooms so good for indoor photos without flash. It has nice bokeh and fast auto-focus. I've found it very sharp in centre even wide open, fairly good at edges. Some have complained of flare but I haven't experienced any (with faint winter sun) and it includes nice reversible lens hood. Very light but seems well-constructed. No stabilisation (not an issue of Olympus cameras) or case.

Excellent
This is a fantastic lens and value. I have used this for both photo and video in low light conditions, and I could not be more pleased with its performance. Besides exceptional performance it is small, lightweight and quiet so it an be used with the on camera mics. The low price for such an exceptional lens is simply icing on the cake.

Panasonic 25mm F1.7 Lens
I ordered this lens during Black Friday Special they for a great price! The lens just arrived today, and let me tell you that it was worth the wait. The auto focus is extremely fast, great image quality, nice size lens not to big and bulky. Would definitely recommend to others!!

Not bad at all
It is nearly weightless. People have left negative comments on the plastic build. I believe the plastic to be extremely durable. If the lens was dropped it would probably bounce. Plastic can absorb shock better than heavy metal which will transfer energy to the glass. This was a bargain I could not pass up. I plan to keep this new f1.7 on my little GM5 for every day use. No complaints from me. Focus is swift and quiet, and optics are fine. Includes a plastic fantastic lens hood that attaches firmly and will absorb bumps.

Light weight prime lens
I ordered three Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f/1.7 ASPH lenses. One for each Panasonic GH3 camera. The camera and lens are used at the community college to teach basic photography. The lens is good at apertures to f/16. It is excellent at ISO 200 and f/4. The lens was backordered. No applicable comment on delivery schedule .

Great lens!
It worth every penny you invest n it! It's a lightweight, small, easy-to-carry lens for my Panasonic Lumix G7. The autofocus is precise and fast. It is constructed almost all of plastic except the metalic mount. A good option for those who want a portrait lens for their M43 cameras.

Great 50mm value
I love this 25mm (50mm) Lumix lens. I have had a chance to use it on several shots and it performed perfectly. It focused quicker then my 14-140 Lumix zoom.

This lens for the price (got it during the $ sale). Is a great piece of kit for m4/3 shooters. It comes with a lens hood too! Which olympus really ought to do. Anyways i digress. The lens itself the image quality is very crisp. I haven't noticed much softness or vingetteing at the corners. However, wide open the lens suffers from colour fringing along high contrast edges. Is as advertised. Is not for me.
This is exactly what it' supposed to be: a nifty fifty analogue for m43. It works fine on my Oly OMD-Em 10, but after an hour or so with it on the camera I found it just a less interesting lens than my trusty old Panny 20mm f1.7 (first gen). It is cheaply built, appropriately so, given the price. It's lovely and light. It renders fine. But it feels cheap, and it is, in a sense, too normal. I'll be selling mine on. But for someone who doesn't have this focal length (or its near equivalent), this is a lovely way to get a low-light capable prime for short money.
