Great pocket camera
This is my third lumix camera and I love it. It takes crisp pictures, great zoom and features.

Lumix ZS70 - a camera small enough to carry all the time
It's like having your phone camera on steroids. Full control of the exposure, saves images in raw for processing later (if desired). Compared to the Nikon A900: the A900 had a little longer focal length when zoomed out, but the ZS-90 has an electronic viewfinder (very useful in bright sun). I opted for the electronic viewfinder. One thing I have to be careful of while using the EVF - my nose touches the touch screen and changes the focusing point... Show More

So far, really good!
I bought this camera to replace my Canon G11 that was finally fading, with the intent to use it as my pocket camera for family outings and to document a couple of restoration projects I'm working on. Couldn't be more pleased. So far I've shot fireworks, a baseball game and the family pickup basketball game, all using one of the auto settings, mostly iA, and one of the night scenes for fireworks. Photos are sharp, quick to focus, and make good fil... Show More

Awesome and Easy
This camera is not only stylish, it has a comfortable heft and has a thorough compact ability for a point and shoot camera. The Menu and Set-Up was not difficult. I am an amateur photographer; I use this camera for family and Internet images, my neighbor, a professional photographer raved about this camera over all others and suggested I purchase this for its high-quality photograph results. The Lumix DC-ZS70 offers as almost many options as digi... Show More

Perfect Travel Camera
Purchased to replace an aging Canon G9 as a very light travel camera. Very impressed with the photos it takes - lens is very sharp and colors are amazing. The menu and LCD display can be a little confusing and suggest downloading the Advance Owner's Manual to get a better understanding.

Great pocket camera to carry with you at all times
Great digital compact camera with a outstanding Leica zoom lense! What I love about this digital camera is that it is small enough to keep in your packet and have it with you at all times. The electronic features give the user more options than they can imagine with a compact camera. I am just getting into photographing birds and wanted a zoom lense that would provide great up close shots. This camera provides that need and much much more. I've u... Show More

Good travel camera
This seems to be a good pocket size travel camera that gives me the capability to zoom and take macros. Good diversity for the size.

Not perfect but a very good camera.
I admit that I'm a Panasonic fan. This is my fifth Panasonic camera and all of them still work. Although I do own Canon professional equipment, I don't take it on my kayaking trips due to my questionable kayak skills. For years, I took a Panasonic FZ30. Most recently, I've been using a Panasonic DMC-ZS19. I upgraded to the DC-ZS70 for two reasons. 1. It allows you to shoot in RAW. 2. It has an electronic view finder. RAW allows you more latitude ... Fabulous Compact Travel 30x Zoom with 4k
I bought this to replace its previous model which I damaged. While it's slightly more bulky and heavy than its predecessor, I think its 4K video and photo abilities make up for it. It still fits in my pocket. The Leica zoom lens is still fabulous especially for traveling. Macro is perfect. 4k MP4 video is a new treat that will future proof your videos. The 4k photo feature is a bit misleading; it actually takes a variable length video from which ... Show More

One of THE best point and shoot cameras on the market
Previously owned a ZS40, and it was a great camera. I have travelled all over the world with friends, and they continually comment about how much better my pictures are than theirs! The new ZS70 has definitely raised the bar. The options and capabilities of this camera are almost too much for me to understand! It can do so many things that much more expensive cameras do. The ONLY drawback is that the sensor is small so your low light pics may not... Show More

Very impressive
I was skeptical that a small sensor could handle 20 megs. It does so very well with adequate light. It is the best shirt pocket sized camera I know of with an enormous zoom range. I also have the ZS100 which is more effective in low light given its 1 inch sensor, and has a very useful 25-250 mm zoom range, but smaller than the 24-720 mm range of the ZS70. At age 80, I find the large zooms to be burdensome, but the small cameras like the ZS70 and 100 to be absolute joys for an enthusiastic amateur like. I definitely recommend both cameras.

Much better than expected
I already owned the ZS100 and ZS50, both purchased from B&H. Wonderful results from such small cameras. I read a preliminary report on the ZS70, and the photos were impressive. My initial thoughts that increasing the megapixels from 12 mp on the ZS50 to 20 would create a lot of noise on such a small sensor. Not so, at least with decent lighting. I am delighted by the results thus far. The ZS70 is the best shirt pocket camera I have ever encounter... Show More
