Don't buy for mac, otherwise great
I hastily bought this without researching if it would be mac compatible. I've only been an Apple user for a short time and haven't learned that only Apple is compatible with Apple. However downloading special software and hacking my computer to shut off facetime I managed to make this camera work at least once. It was very clear, beautiful feed back. I love the way the base is designed, very versatile- I could point it in any direction, swivel it, attach is different places. And the cord is very long. Overall great design.

Its Just Ok
Had a lot of hope that this would do what I needed. It does for the most part, but the audio is lacking a bit and the auto focus is annoying. Its forever trying to focus. I finally figured out a good balance with the lighting so it would slow down the auto focusing. The still pictures look good and the so does the video. The constant auto focusing is really where my issue lies. I could even deal with the audio, but the auto focus is a real put off.

Its not bad
The quality is not bad could be just a tad better but for the price its better than most webcams. It takes real good still pictures and does real good video and has awesome low light pickup so you dont need all the lights on in the room to use it. If you manulay control the focus in the software you can zoom in on objects 1 inch away Cons.. It focuses too much.. I beleive its due to its software.

A great webcam at a great price
The LifeCam Cinema is an excellent video camera for tasks such as videoconferencing. The color detail, sharpness and auto-light control are all excellent for a camera in this class. The base is also easily maneuverable for various installation locations. We've been very satisfied with the performance overall and cannot find any major drawbacks.

Excellent Webcam - use with Windows 10 PC
I bought it for use as a webcam + microphone for Cortana on a Windows 10 PC. Webcam works very well in video chats using Skype - good picture quality and wide angle of view. Mounts well on the top of a flat screen monitor. Another advantage I see with this webcam is the ability to swing the lens sideways to exactly face where you want it to.

Decent set of software but poor focus
Bought this to use for video calling and various photo and video projects. I like the accompanying software which seems would be very nice to go with a better camera. But the picture quality is far inferior to the older Logitech unit it replaced. It may be better on another system but is poor on my win 7 pro x64 system.

Great product, software incomplete...
LifeCam performs well in all areas. The software running on Win 8 is incomplete. Runs complete on Win 7. Download software from Microsoft for Win 7 to run on Win 8, almost perfect. It allows adjustment of resolution and camera settings. Then download Windows Essentials 2012 to complete software.

Easy Set Up
Installed the camera's on 2 each Windows 10 systems. I did get a notice that I had to update a file (can't remember what it was), but all went well. We will mostly use this for Skype, with a Desktop PC. This was a good reminder for my wife to clean up her book case behind her! :)

Newtonian Collimating Assistant
I purchased this webcam to collimate my Newtonian telescopes, with minor modifications it fits in the barrel of an old eyepiece and makes it a little easier to adjust a secondary mirror after reinstalling it. A very clear , high definition image.

Dont be cheep. Spend a bit more and get this quality product that you and the viewer on the other side will appreciate and enjoy. Plus you'll look great! Good news, it is much smaller than it appears on the box.

User friendly....
Easy to use, that is a thing we needed for our live stream. Flexible stand can fit a variety of ways to set the camera. I cannot speak about the audio we are using a different mic set up.

I really like this product.

Works, easy setup.
