Some years back, I owned the original Kaossilator KO-1. It was fun to use, and intuitive to the point that I was able to get a lot out of it despite never once opening the instructions. I came to the Kaossilator Pro Plus with high hopes, only to end up disappointed. For starters, MIDI In is practically useless. It does what is expected of it
I can see why this has been so popular for so long. The manual is slim, to say the leas (which is what it does). But it gets you started and it's easy to figure out if you just bang around and pay attention to what you're doing so you know when you've hit on something. It's basically a groove box and you fall naturally into making fun beats. I am more interested in spacier ambient uses and it takes just a little bit of wrangling to find those modes. There are things I wish it did, but what it does it does very well.

A must have for DJ's
I use the Kaoss to mix music and transition during live performances. Casing and knobs are sturdy and the unit is easy to learn and use. Not all sounds are useful and voice modifiers are limited. Overall great performance.

Nice addition to my keyboard rig!!!
I love this thing for looping myself and adding quick little musical fills when I'm jamming. I only wish that it didn't just have RCA inputs/outputs, but other than that it's a great little piece of hardware.
