Behringer HPM-1000 - All-Purpose Closed-Back Headphones
Good value for money but beware EMI
I bought 8 sets of these along with a Behringer HA8000 Powerplay headphone amp. (The original intention was to record a group of singers, but that never came to be.) I wanted to record a 6-piece band and having plenty of these headphones, I dished out a set to each band member for monitoring purposes. However, when the monitor levels were turned up beyond a certain point, the guitarist's amp and the bassist's amp gave out a high pitched whistle... Show More

Good Everyday Set of headphones
Let me start off by saying these may not be the best choice for studio monitoring. Having said that, these are hard to beat for the price! Compared to the AKG K240 'phones I use for studio work, the bass on the Behringer HPM 1000 is a little boomy, but not totally overpowering. Midrange seem to be happening right in the middle of my skull, so you may need to adjust your volume down a little from where you usually listen. Other than the previously... Show More

They're Grrrreat!!!
I love these headphones!!! I researched headphones and read so many positive reviews on these both here and on @ that I just had to experience these for myself, and for the price of this gear, who can resist, at least, giving them a shot. I know some may not appreciate the lightweight feel of these, but I certainly do. I believe that I won't have to worry about experiencing pain while utilizing these for extended periods of time. Great Quality
I bought the product when my previous 2 pairs of headphones broke, either from being dropped or the cord getting tugged. These are my first supra-aural headphones and they are so comfortable because they sit around my ear, instead of pressing on my ear. I use them to listen to music, watch television and movies online. I was seeking a quality pair of DJ headphones and these were highly rated at an excellent price. The sound quality is excellent a... Show More

Great Product for the price.
I am a teacher, and bought these for use by my students while they edit on the computers. They are solid, and well-made. I've bought some expensive ones before that snap easily when they are used. These, so far, are great quality and well worth the extra $5 to upgrade from the cheapy ones. The padding up at the top is very nice, and the padding around the ears doesn't squeeze too tight on your eyes (a complaint from the last headphone brand I bou... Show More

Great Value Cans
For the money these are just the best headphones for every day use. Although the closed backs are plastic material it does not detract from their look or performance. They are designed to cover the ear to give a private performance for the listener without the distraction of external sound entering the phone. The headset is light and comfortable and I use mine for my PC, Hifi music listening and in my studio for recording and playback. I have... Show More

Better than expected
I ordered these as they were the cheapest headphones on here, as a cheap set to use for monitoring when recording bands (I offer portable recording services). I was expecting something small, crap and budget (as you'd expect from headphones as cheap as these), but I'm actually pleasantly surprised. I'm not rushing out to buy a pair for mixing or listening on, but they're certainly decent quality, and push out a quality sound for the price. They s... Show More

I can't believe how good these are!
I run a college film program, and I wanted some cheap headphones we could loan out to students in our editing lab. I figured these would be lousy but cheap, but they ended up being really GOOD and cheap! We've been using them for a couple years now, with no problems at all. They are very lightweight, which is actually nice, because they are very comfortable and don't hurt your head, even after long binge editing sessions. Best of all, the sound q... Show More

Good for the price
Pros: simple but well made, solid 90 deg connector and thick single cable, fairly sensitive as loudness is concerned. Likely to last a long time. Cons: Not suitable for my use, playing piano keyboard. Sound is muffled and washed out when hitting a key. The high end of the sound spectrum is just not there. Other lowbudget headphones I use , Sennhauser HD202 and Sony MDR CD60 are better, although the Sony is not very sensitive. I bought the HPM 100... Show More

Cheap and cheerful
I use these mainly for listening to music at a computer. The sound is okay but not amazing, you can really tell that these are cheap headphones. It's not clear, with a slightly muffled bass response and a bit dark in the high end. However, they're perfectly functional, and the sound quality is fine for the price. They're a bit flimsy but again, acceptable build quality for the price. The headphones are comfortable to wear, and the cable is a good... Show More

AMAZING for the low price!
I had my doubts when ordering these because of the insanely low pricing for a pair of headphones, but I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. They are easy to adjust, and really comfortable, and the build is solid, apart from feeling a bit plastic-y. You could not find a better pair of headphones for a price that's even remotely close to these. The sound is really good, but they lack a little top. Unless you are going to go all in and splur... Disappointed, to say the least.
let me begin by saying that B&H did an outstanding job. Got the product super-quick, Customer service was excellent. The new headphones? Well, that is where the disappointment comes in. I have had a pair of the HPM-1000 for 6 or so years, and loved them. When i got these, I noticed right away the the freq. response was no where near like my old ones. You would think that the same model would sound the same. Not this time. i will be hard pressed to buy Behringer headphones again. But, when I do chose a new brand, I will be getting them from B&H!

School Lab Headphones
I purchased 35 of these to put in my library computer lab. I have 30 computers. The first 30 worked out of the package with no flaws. They seem to be a great value. These headphones are light on students heads and comfortable. The cord is beefy with reinforced areas near the plug and headphones. The length of the cord is right for computer use. I also like the right angle plug. Each headphone has been used about 60 times in the last two weeks and there has not been any damage yet. I'll be really happy if they last a year or two.

Cheap and cheerfull
I bought a pair of these headphones because I'm a huge fan of behringer and I pretty much collect headphones. There is a reason why the price is so cheap. They are very basic very bulky headphones with fairly poor sound quality. If your a dj or producer looking to buy a pair of a headphones these are a NO if your just buying them to wear casually around the house then yes maybe. Definetly not recommended to wear outside they are huge looking. All in all I would just save up for a decent pair and not go for the cheap ones

Amazing headphones for the price.
I use these headphones for more than just casual listening. I record tracks and mix instrumentals with these. Everyone says my mix is so clear and believed i use studio monitors. I have been using them almost everyday for about 7-8 months and they still work perfectly. I am going to buy some more expensive studio quality headphones but these held over well considering they only cost $. I am not an audiophile by any means but the i think there could be a little too much bass.

Great Deal for the Price
Unlike other headphones in its price category, these appear to built more durably with full over-the ears headpieces and a long, thick cord. The sound quality is also quite reasonable for the price bracket. It does tend to over emphasize the highs but this can be mostly compensated for by adjusting an equalizer. Overall, I would say that for someone on a tight budget, these headphones make a worthy and apparently durable bid.

i decided to go for this to play music at home - plugged straight from the guitar amp - i wanted something that blocks external noise a little bit. i am overall happy with it - the sound is fair, it does block enough noise. Dont expect miracle, it still sounds cheap, not comfortable (ok for 40 minute practice, not to listen to music all day) and it also feels very plastic-ky. for the price it's hard to beat.

I would buy this product again
The customer service rep was very helpful and I got exactly what I wanted. So far the headset works just fine. I would recommend this headset(BEHPM1000) to anyone looking for simple inexpensive use because the sound quality is pretty good. They are light weight but I don't think that they can be handled too roughly. Overall, for the price, they can't be beat. They even came with an adapter. Great deal all around.

Great headphones at a great price
I find these much more comfortable, better sounding (and I expect them to be more more durable) than the typical casual on-ear foam types in this price range often used with mp3 players. Although not audiophile level, to me the sound is full without booming and as listenable as sets costing several time as much. Being around-the-ear they might not be best for activities where the user will be working up a sweat.

Not the best sounding, most comfortable or highest quality; but great price.
These headphones are extremely cheap and to be honest I only bought them to see what ?8.90 would buy you. The sound quality isn't actually too bad; especially considering how cheap they are. They aren't very comfortable as they don't sit particularly well on my head. The build quality isn't great either - the jack plug had broken at the cable within weeks of occasional use, so I had to solder on a new plug.

Value to Cost is great
I bought these headphones for general use. They are a bit bulky and not a perfect fit... but the sound is fantastic, it cuts out outside noise and you can't beat the price. The value for the cost was fantastic. I also had an issue with it as the first one came slightly damaged. B&H was phenomenla to work with. Quick call, quick pick-up and they resolved it within a minute in an extremely satisfactory way.

low dough got here quick we bought two!
I think these will be great for actually tracking .They are not loud ,but my deck is and I might be able to do some good things while keeping the mic from getting escaped sound during vocals due to the closed back nature . I have done some singing with them on without a mic and I could hear the music nicely and hear myself keeping in tune .for the price you cant go wrong for personal use as well.

Behringer HPM1000
Looks wise they are quite cheaply made, not "tacky" cheap, but cheap none the less. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time and the 1/4 inch jack adapter is very useful. They sound good, not brilliant but for the price they are top notch, overall I am happy with them and would buy them again if money was still a problem or I didn't need £300 sound quality.

Great Value
I am enjoying using these headphones. Although, I need to purchase an headphone amplifier to work with my mackie which I will purchase with B&H. I ordered some stuff from @ a week prior to ordering from B&H. They both came the same day. 4 days for B&H and 11 days for @ and B&H didn't charge for shipping for $. There is no $ minimum and they ship within hours. You can't beat that.
