Great, but bad build quality
Today is 14 days since my Mavic Pro was delivered. I've done 34 flights, all of them under 15 min just to be careful. I don't think i've pushed it hard at all, but yesterday i did notice a fracture on the nose. I've never crashed/bumped it, I'm always very careful putting it back in the DJI bag(nose up), and i haven't even tried out sport mode yet. Best purchase EVAR
I absolutely love this drone. Not much to say that hasn't already been said. The portability is insane. I throw it in my backpack and don't even know it's there. It's just an absolute joy to fly. Makes you feel like a kid again. Then throw in the fact that it also takes really great 4K footage, albeit not as great as the P4P, but definitely can be used in professional videos. Great drone but issue with gimbal
I love the portability. But so far there seems to be some issues with gimbal stability that may be a hardware flaw that they are trying to resolve with firmware. Follow DJI forum for all the sample videos that has this issue. Until this is fixed, it is just a toy. Don't get rid of your Phantom yet. I am loving this handy flying camera. I'm still getting to know the Intelligent Flight Modes, which I'm learning are the best and most stable methods of capture moving subjects. Amazing product
I bought the mavic Pro recently after seeing one of my friends use it in action. I've never owned or flown a drone before and seeing how easy it looked to operate this particular drone, I made it a point to try and figure out how to use this drone without any instruction. Awesome. B&H got me the drone in a few days. More importantly is that their reputation for quality is true. Every drone I ordered from other companies in the past in one way or another appeared repacked or at very least, opened and retaped. Fantastic drone
This drone replaced my Phantom 3 pro. To call it an upgrade is to understate what a well designed drone my Mavik is. I fly it often at the beach where there are constant winds and it performs perfectly. Controls are very responsive and the obstacle avoidance system works perfectly (except for very low light conditions and when in sports mode). Packable, easy to use and superb images!
I am amazed by the Mavic Pro. It was easy to fly right from the start and I'm gaining the knowledge and skills to get great images and videos with every flight. The time between unboxing and capturing adveturesque content can take some time. Youll find challenges with getting comfortable with the interface and getting the drone to do exactly what you were imagining. Easier and compact
I've been a phantom 4 user for over a year and the mavic is just as easy and so much more travel friendly. Its not as stable as phantom because of weight but it's battery life is better and you don't have to deal with the hassle of popping the blades on and off. This drone is down right amazing. I owned a Phantom 3 Advanced for over a year, and the features and flight time for this drone surpass it in every way. Worth the wait!
The product was on back order for a month, but so far it is a terrific aircraft. I have only used it in Beginner Mode to date because of my limited experience, but it seems very responsive, and I feel secure when flying it. Make sure you watch some of the available tutorials and you're good to go! Reason for 4 stars - Maybe a little more printed documentation would be helpful, but not a big problem; you can download the user manual on the DJI site. The bag that comes with the Combo is a little small and I worry that I will break the propellers or something, but I will probably get used to it.

Great machine great B&H company!!!
I own a Phantom 3 advanced and love it. So i thought i would give the mavic a go. The setup was really easy but i did have some problems with my note 4 it drains the battery and constantly crashes so i now use nexus 7 tablet. The machine runs great but it is not as forgiving as the p3. It is small fast and easy to transport. Just make sure you have a tablet that can fit into the control 7 inch is fine. The range is about the same as my p3. The stability is a little better on the mavic. But what is making me keep it above all else is the 4k picture quality! It is excellent! Well enjoy

Dji Mav is the bomb!!!
The Djiav Mav Pro drone is out of this world awesome! Its easy to fly and shoots great video in all the needed formats for pro level. The clarity and cinematic shots are impressive and it brings out the child in you never wanting to put it away. Its perfect for on the go action. So far every epic captured shot has turned out fantastic! This drone is a definite buy and i cannot wait to use it on my next wedding film. I love how mobile it is too. Plus, the safe mode flying is perfect at anytime but specifically in windy conditions. You can't even see it shaking on the video.

Fantastic product!
This is my first real drone. I've had a number of "practice" drones that were basically toys that I used to familiarize myself with the controls, etc. The Mavic Pro Platinum, however, is NOT a toy and is a serious tool for drone hobbyists. Everything about it is well thought out, from the controller to the iPhone App. Images and videos are outstanding and the drone itself is really easy to fly, even for a beginner. Now that I finally have a DJI product, I look forward to many years of flying this drone and the subsequent iterations that will come out. It's that good.

Updating firmware worst experience with tech in 30 years
The drone, camera, and app (the flight part) work fine. However, updating the firmware on the various components is a game-breaking event. You can update with the app or with the DJI Assistant on the computer. Both are very inconsistent in their success rate. The update freezes and fails often requiring going through the entire process multiple times. A quick search of the DJI forums reveals that this is a very common occurrence. I have spent more time trying to update firmware than actually flying. Purchased 5 Mavics for my school and would love to return them all.
