I needed to replace my OnePlus Bullets 2 wireless headphones. One feature they handled really well was switching between two devices - eg changing the device the earphones are Bluetooth connected to from your phone to your laptop. This requires more advanced Bluetooth functionality, and the discontinued OnePlus Bullets would remember two devices and let you switch between them with a double tap of the power/call button. The alternative is to remember religiously to disconnect your earphones from the laptop before you pack it away so that you can connect them to the phone or you end up having to go through a rigmarole of re-pairing them. These headphones theoretically support Bluetooth Multipoint, but I've not been able to get this working with a MacBook and an Android phone simultaneously, so I'm back to remembering to disconnect them from the laptop or re-pairing. I've seen suggestions online that the multipoint functionality works better with other combinations of devices. Another nice feature of the OnePlus headphones was that they switched off when you took them out of your ears and connected them via their magnets. The Sony earphones don't switch off, so you have to remember to switch them off manually, though they seem to eventually switch off when idle and the battery life still seems pretty good. The sound quality is good, so despite the above issues, I'm keeping them! ... More

Had these for a couple of months now and didn't want to write any sort of review until I'd had a chance to properly test them out. First of all the design is pretty good, with the appropriate silicone grommets the ear buds are a nice stable fit in my ears, and the control/battery pods sit comfortably around my collar. Sound quality was a little bit disappointing to start with as I was going from the AKG ear-buds that came with my samsung phone, which have really good full and detailed sound quality, to something that I expected would be of similar sound quality. To start with I found them to be quite bright and harsh, which I wasn't expecting, however a few minutes adjusting the graphic EQ on my phone from it's default flat response completely transformed my listening experience. Reducing the level of the upper mids and high frequencies by about 15-20% got rid of the harshness without sacrificing high end detail, and made for a much more balanced sound. With these tweaks in place I'm now very happy with the sound quality, and would be very happy to recommend to others and also buy again myself should the need arise. Finally battery life, my own experience is that this is easily achieved, with my most recent use before recharging amounting to around 16 hours before the battery level dropped to 25% remaining, which I think is pretty impressive! ... I bought these after losing a pair of Anker earphones that I had for years and, as the model I lost were no longer available, I opted for these Sony earphones. One of the main reasons I opted for these earphones over others on the market was the fact that they have magnets in them. The magnets are used to 'clip' the earphones together around your neck when they are not in use. Kind of like a necklace. Anyway, the magnets are so weak that they are utterly useless, they cannot even hold the buds together under the weight of gravity. My other issue with these is, the rubber that has been used for the earbud itself is very 'sticky' and seems to attract dust from thin air. Only a damp cloth will remove the dust, which must be done before every use. Lastly, the cord cord is unnecessarily long and not evenly weighted, meaning that the cord constantly works it's way over to one side of your head before pulling the buds out of your ears. I guess the pros of the product are that the battery life does seem to be pretty good and the sound isn't terrible (although I don't listen to music, only podcasts). Overall, I think that these have been very cheaply made, even for the low selling price, and that there are likely much better quality 'non-brand' alternatives for the same price. ... More

Previously I had Beats wireless headphones. They supposedly had 8 hours of battery life. But actually, it was never more than six. I used them a lot and had to charge twice a day. These Sony headphones supposedly have 15 hours of battery life. But I've found it's actually much more. I recently had a travel disaster that turned a six-hour trip into a 12-hour trip. I used these headphones virtually the entire time, and still had 50% power when I finally arrived at my destination. Furthermore, I think they sound just fine. No complaints about sound quality or volume, although I mostly just listen to podcasts so I'm not that discriminating about the sound quality. My only complaint is that they're very light and have no shape to them, so they tend to move around a lot when I'm wearing them on the back of my neck. ... More

I've had these headphones for around a month now, and initially planned to return them but decided I could put up with the few niggles. The sound is fine, although sometimes the connection seems to cut out (this is listening to a podcast or non-streamed music, so not a phone signal issue, and don't have this with my Beats wireless headphones). The neck band is a little light, so can easily move out of a comfortable position. I wouldn't go running with these e.g. There also doesn't seem to be a persistent 'on' indicator light, so that can be confusing. There is an LED when you first switch them on, so don't really understand why it can't stay on for the duration they are powered on. On the plus side, they were fairly cheap, and the ear buds are comfortable (and comes with different size options). I like that it has a USB-C charger as same as my phone. The battery life is actually quite astonishing, I think it took over a week of daily use for it to run down, and it does give an indication of battery remaining when you power them on which is helpful. ... I bought the headphones pre Christmas and have found the in ear wireless headphones excellent quality and practical. The loop over head wire connection was one of the main draws and avoids the perils associated with the separate in ear variety ear pods slipping out of one’s ear and either losing one or dropping them in water as I did recently as they fell out and sadly in to the WC 😩 (and no I didn’t). The Sony loop over headphone have great sound quality and built in mic for telephone calls. The single button on the cable is easy to use when one becomes familiar with the headphone. The headphones are easy and quick to charge, and hold charge for significant time (up to 15hrs). A few pairs of replacement rubbers for the headphones to suit different ear sizes also come with the set. Fully recommend. ... More

Solid pair of bluetooth earphones, only negative is they definitely do not stay in if you do any exercise (within 10 seconds of going on a run they kept falling out). So if you want sports bluetooth earphones, these arent the ones for you

This is Sony most recent mid range bluetooth headphones. The big advantage is the battery life which is up to 16 hours. They are compatible with iPhones as they support the AAC codec for improved sound quality. They stay on your next better when not in use. They sound quality is very good once they have bedded in. 1 downside is the sound quality when making calls. the microphone is very sensitive and there is no noise cancelling leading to external sounds being picked up.

The main reason for me purchasing these particular headphones was the good battery life and the fact that the earpieces are connected via a wire. I bought earbuds first but when one fell out it was difficult to find and they had a limited play time before recharging. This design gets around those issues. Sound quality is good but not exceptional Built quality and functions are also good. Bluetooth connection was straightforward I don't have the best hearing in the world but to me they do not sound like an audiophile product. Likewise they are not tough enough for commercial use, in my opinion. However at the price I paid they could be replaced and should last a few years. Recommended for in the ear headphones within the limits stated. ... More

Spend that little extra on a branded product and you get quality. Great sound, very comfortable in the ear, you really don't know you have them in. Bluetooth is so simple to connect and never disconnect until you want it to. I use them with my tablet. Have not tried them with my phone as yet using the built in microphone so cannot comment, all i will say is, they are SONY need i say anymore.

Really good earphones, high quality sound/bass. The magnetic that holds the earphones in place could be stronger when not in use. Also used them for jogging and it was decent. I found that I had to modify how I wore them. I just crossed them over at the front of the neck to help the mic and battery part stay in place. Great for walking with. Not so great for running with. Excellent for wfh device. Overall good product would recommend.

The sound quality of the headphones are really great and crisp, bass and treble are well defined. I wear them for running and cycling and i can say they don’t fall out of the ears.. the battery time is awesome really does last for ages between charges and the lady Voice tells you how much charge you have and pairing success. Pairing is effortless and doesn’t need much fumbling and know how. The whole thing works as it should. I don’t regret paying the price i did as theyre worth every penny.

When you are on the phone, the other person could hear all sounds around you, which is a bit annoying. Additionally, the cable is plastic and not rubber so it does not stick to your neck/clothing so it tilts. Other than that, it is ok with good battery life.

On the plus side we have ease of use as in switching on you hear how much battery life is left. Also fast charging, looking great and pretty loud. Sound quality is really good and better than other more expensive brands I had in past. Also no problems with bluetooth pairing at all. Argos - great services. Minuses: When running or cycling they do not stay in place so you shall tingle it around the cap or a helmet. I had them for like a month and no issues so far.

Bought these for hubby who is working from home and has a lot of conference calls and works on a laptop. He’s used them a number of times now and he says the charge is good, as is the sound quality. He’s most impressed with the fact he can toggle between listening to music/video calls through his laptop and can go straight onto a call from his iPhone at a touch of a button. He keeps them round his neck and as the ear buds are magnetic then pin together nicely so they don’t slip off his neck when they’re not in use. All in all a very good and useful purchase. Bought these after initially getting the cheaper jlabs which were terrible in comparison. These do what i expected, the sound is great, they link up easily and even if the phone is buried in a pocket they maintain a good connection. Only two negatives which are minor, I find these buds a bit intrusive after years of apple headphones which sit nicely in the ear, so when using for calls i actually sit them so they are just barely in my ears. Also the controls are not the easiest to access is a hurry unlike apple again, but overall they do the job. ... More

Absolutely delighted with these and wish I'd bought them ages ago. They're incredibly light and comfortable to use, with three sets of covers for the ear pieces, so that you have exactly the size you need. The sound is crystal clear and very reliable. Bluetooth pairing was a doddle and they always connect in the blink of an eye. The controls are very easy to use. The long battery life is a great bonus, with recharging very quick.
