Logo light blinking does not turn off

This seems to be a well functioning mouse. But it has one big problem. The red logo on the front end of the mouse is lighted, and I could not find any way to turn it off. It blinks and fades on and off irregularly, and I cannot find any way to change this either. An online search confirmed that there is no way to change this. This really bugs me. I am returning this item and wish B&H had told me about this before I bought it.
